Shea moisture Organic African Black Soap Bar with Shea Butter, 8oz (2 Pack)

I love this soap. The scent is beautiful and the consistency of the product is divine. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks so haven't noticed any marked difference in my skin, but must say that my face feels squeaky clean every time I've finished washing with it.

Purchased for my son after completing some research online. Made an amazing difference to him. He`s pleased, Im happy. Well worth a try.

The first thing you need to know is that this is not genuine black soap. Black soap is not literally black. But that is irrelevant, what matters is if the product works. And this definitely works. It is very forgiving to the skin. Other black soaps can be quite harsh to the skin but I bathe in this soap everyday and it cleans your skin thoroughly, especially with an exfoliating sponge. You should moisture afterwards because it can dry out your skin. I only bought this because I wanted to get rid of facial blemishes. After several weeks someone complimented my skin tone. I looked in the mirror and was surprised, my skin looked amazing and had a beautiful brown glow. I looked like an African model haha. And it smoothed out my facial pores. This stuff really works.The downsides are that you need to continually use this for it to be effective. All of the benefits to your skin reverse quickly if you stop using this soap, including the improvements to your skin tone and any scarring. Because it's mild it may take several weeks before you notice the effects. And lastly the price is quite expensive. at the time of writing it costs £6.50 for one bar of shea moisture soap. Compare this to regular soaps or even other black soaps like dudu osun you can buy a pack of 6 for a similar price.

I bought this for me and my two daughters to use in the shower. Both me and my older daughter suffers with blemishes on our backs and shoulders and my youngest gets eczema on the backs of her knees so I was hoping it would work for us all. It hasn't been great for our blemishes but my daughter's eczema seems a lot better. The soap bar is also very messy and I have to wash bits of black soap from the bath every time we use it. Overall, I think it's okay but probably won't repurchase it.

I won't use anything else on my troublesome skin now. Excellent.
