Brilliant all round ice/heat pack. Have had bilateral hip replacement last month and this pack is excellent for the job. Just buying another for mother in law for her knees. Handy cover to protect your body and can even microwave it if you need some heat. I'm 17 stone and have even sat on it if I've overdone the exercises.

I have arthritis in several joints which causes referred pain elsewhere. Used straight from the freezer in it's cover on my hip and have also wrapped it around my back. Good pain relief so helps to stretch the time in-between medication

Doesn’t fit very well and has awkward straps

I bought this to help with a shoulder injury and lower back pain. The gel pack can be heated in the microwave and cooled in the freezer. To use it you place the gel pack in the pouch and strap it to the relevant part of your body. It's quite sturdy and stays in place well. The gel pack looks well made. Overall a nice product that I would recommend. I hope you found this review helpful.

Nice big pads. I have only used for cold as for heat I'd much rather use a hot water bottle.I baught a few of these to help with Hip Bursitis. Being on the hip, bit of a pain to hold in place but the bag with the large elestic band helps to hold it in place.Personally i have found in the bag doesn't give as immediate releif. They don't seem to last very long either but i think thats down to their thin size, not enough thermal mass. other side if you have more mass it would be heavier and more dififcult to hold in place so i guess it's a good comprimise. With a few of them a just keep swapping them out.Good quality. Comfortable, flexable, Don't leak, Helps with Hip pain to an extent.

It is perfect for my shoulder, it has helped a lot

This is a really big plate of cold - as the illustrations show, it can be used on a shoulder, but it's also convenient enough to use on a leg or arm. I'm using it on my calf.It's a bit more fuss to use than a gel pack with strap, because you take the gel pack out of the freezer and put it into a bag before strapping it on. However that means it stays cold for the whole 20 minutes (because there's a fleece on the outside of it), and the straps (one short, one long) are perfect to hold in position with the short one whilst adjusting the long one, then returning to tighten the short one. I've had no end of trouble trying to get gel packs without straps to stay in place, and mostly the straps are too short for anything but an ankle or wrist - these ones are fine. There's also a strap extender which makes the short strap as long as the long one.I'm very pleased with this. I don't expect to get too many injuries (we never do), but I might just start using a cold pack post-workout for more rapid recovery.

Heat pad nice big for lower back but pouch is waste of time heat pad falls to bottom of bag as bag to big would be better if was attached to bag with stick pads heat pads belt way to small wouldnt go around adult waste and thin elastic would cut into you if did fit value for money no id bought smaller ones cos bag no good
