Q: help!! I am starting to paint with watercolors and I don´t know which paint to buy if radiant or hydrous watercolor… what is the difference

The main different is the colorant. The Radiant watercolors are dye based, meaning they will fade when exposed to sunlight. The Hydrus watercolors are pigmented, meaning they are lightfast and will resist fading.

Q: how does the liquid texture compare to regular, watered down wc colors? is the flow or absorption, on paper, different? (thank you!)

I have never used regular water colors.... I used the Dr. Ph martins many many years ago in college and loved them...... I like how cold press paper absorbs. Sorry I can't give a good comparison.

Q: I often leave my leftover colors on the palette. Can these be left dry on a palette and then reactived with water?

I do leave these to dry on my palette ...they dry slightly differently. But they do re-activate just as well for me. I love them. the pigments are amazing...very vibrant and unique. also you don't need as much. ...I hope this helps :)

No, it is not more opaque than white gouache. These are transparent watercolor dyes and though they are lightfast and opaque when dry they are not as opaque as gouache. I would definitely experiment!
