Ajinomoto Soup Stock Hondashi, 2.11 oz

We love Asian inspired meals and this stock base is PERFECT! We’re pretty much adding it to everything that needs extra umami flavor and a bit of seafood stock. I would 100% recommend this seller as well. It arrived on time and had the best packaging I’ve ever seen for a glass jar!

I used this product for cooking morning eggs delicious 😋 the salty flavor gives it the nice touch in making it. Get it!

I like the product and have previously bought it in larger quantities in bags. You need very little as it is highly concentrated- hence I thought this jar would be a perfect way to store the unused part of any bags I open. But the picture made me believe it would be somewhere the size of a jam jar and have some distinct features I had 'imagined' coming with a high-quality product from japan. It was no the case.Still, the content is a wonderful way to make a quick, clear, full-flavor dashi.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I cook lots of Japanese food so I got this instead of the regular MSG. I’ll probably end up keeping both in the kitchen because this stuff is magical. I’ve also been using it on things that I don’t necessarily want to to taste like bonito, such as steak and pasta sauce, and it works without giving them a noticeable fishy taste. Don’t be scared of the MSG, unless you are sensitive to glutamates (if so tomatoes, Parmesan, mushrooms, etc would also bother you) you will be fine.
