Been losing weight, so I've had to put more holes in my belt. This works and I haven't broken it yet!

This is very disappointing. I tried to punch a hole in a leather belt and the metal just twisted and bent away from the punch. Cheap Chinese tat. Don’t buy

Arrived cover in oil, there is no necessity for this what so ever, but this is a manufacturing issue and not the supplier’s.Bought to punch a small hole in two layers of very thin card (120 grams per square metre). Unfortunately this punch is not able to do this just by squeezing the handles together, this simply made a circular indentation in the card surface and did not cut right through.I resorted to gripping the card in the required position and rotating the card round in a circular motion until the punch cut the hole right through.I am not sure if this is the way the punch should be used since there are no instructions, but it did make the required hole eventually.I can not see that it would be possible to put a hole through a leather belt simply by squeezing the handles together since the cutting edges of the punches are not sharp enough.I will look for a better product in a craft shop and if I find one, this item will be returned.I will reiterate that the problems encountered with this punch are borne by the manufacturer not the supplier.

Took me a while to get it working. Can be quite stiff but it still gets the job done.
