Constructive Playthings CP Toys Dog Academy Playset

Our (7yr old, F) animal lover has been going on and on about her new Dog Academy! She set it up immediately on Christmas morning and started playing with this perfect set. The pieces are well painted, durable, and heavy enough for her to play with (no worries over anything breaking.) The amount of accessories and variety of dog breeds and poses was also a big deal for her. Cute and fun.

I use this set with my speech students and they love it. I have preschoolers that request it and want to play with it over and over again. It is a great toy, very well built and has taken a lot of abuse from being thrown or mouthed. It is a fun way to encourage student to talk while playing and use words like "in" and "out." It is one of the better play sets I have and well worth the investment. It comes with a lot of little toys that i don't always use because of the age of students I work with but there would be endless possibilities if I also incorporated those into play as well. All of the pieces fit easily into the box that the set comes in which is hand for organizational purposes as well.

I am so excited about this dog training set!!!! I was hesitant spending double the price than other sets but this set is like a collectors edition. I have shown it to so many people and everyone is impressed with the high quality, heavy weight and detail. These days everything is so flimsy so I finally found a toy that is worth the value. I never do reviews so yes I am impressed!

My 5 year old son is an only child, so I am always looking out for ways to entertain him. He enjoys watching cartoons and playing games on the tablet, like many children, but I would prefer him to play with toys that require him to use his imagination. So when I received the opportunity to test out this item in exchange for my honest review, I thought this would be something that he would enjoy. This Dog Academy 50 piece Play Set is unlike anything I have ever seen before. It is obvious that the designer put a lot of thought and effort into creating this.You get a total of 15 dogs with this set and they are as follows:2 German Shepherds = one is sort of standing and other one is leaping with a bone in it's mouth3 Bernese Mountain Dogs = 1 adult + 2 puppies3 Golden Retrievers = 1 adult + 2 puppies2 Dalmatians = one is standing and the other one is laying down2 Collies = one standing and one sitting3 Corgis = 1 adult + 2 puppiesYou get 3 dog houses and 2 dog beds - one bed is molded to fit the Dalmatian laying down and the other one is small, so it would be ideal for the puppies.Also included is a complete agility course including a ramp, a jumping post, and a tire hoop. The tire hoop is too small for the adult dogs, which is a little disappointing because I originally thought that leaping German Shepherd was designed to jump through it. But his head is too big, so only the puppies can fit through the hoop.Now lets talk about the accessories! This set includes 3 bowls of dog food, 3 water dishes, grooming tools, various awards, frisbees, dog toys, decor and even 2 pooper scoopers! The only critique I have about the accessories is that it would be great if the dogs could actually interact with them. For example it would be cool if they could have made them to fit in the dog's mouths. But your child will just have to use their imagination, which is the whole point I guess. My son enjoys having the dogs race through the agility course and seeing how many dogs he can stuff in the houses.Overall, the detail of the dogs and the accessories is amazing. I would recommend this toy for children 4 and over as the pieces are very small and a choking hazard. Also, you might want to keep a plastic bag for all of the parts so that you don't lose them. Makes a great gift for any child who loves dogs.

Toys are nice, my child likes the variety of dogs that came with the set. $50 seems a little over priced, but Santa splurged.

My daughter got this set for her 6th birthday. She is still enjoying it! There are many different types of dogs, and they look realistic. It comes with lots of houses and accessories for endless pretend play. She also uses them with her Barbie and Playmobil sets. We were originally hesitant when we saw the price, but we would definitely buy it again. And I think she'll still be enjoying the set for a few more years.

I am a speech pathologist and I use this set to collect language samples with my students. They love anything miniature so the special details of the dog toys and bones and especially the pooper scooper! We make tony play-doh poops to pick up. This might be my favorite part!
