This should be standard with a Mac laptop
I had some issues with sparking when plugging in some devices and sometimes hum when recording music. This cleared it all up. Added bonus this holds in the plug fine unlike the stock two prong that fell out of the outlet often.

Problem Solver
Solved some audio interface ground noise issues with an instrument into a DI box into the Lewitt Connect 6. Super niche problem to have but great product nonetheless.

Necesario para evitar la estatica cuando esta conectada y cuentas con tomas con puesta a tierra
Bueno bonito y barato. No la vendían ni en las tiendas oficiales de Peru así que toco importarlo.

No more weird vibrating
I bought this because using the standard apple charger I feel a weird vibrating electrical sensation in my palms when touching the macbook and resting my feet on the leg of my desk (which is grounded). By swapping this in for the standard two prong adapter that Apple ships with the charger the problem was totally solved. I guess there's a small amount of microcurrent that leaks when the charger is ungrounded. This three prong plug not only solves the current leakage but also provides a much more stable connection to the outlet. I can see that it would probably help on airplanes, which tend to have very loose power outlets that allow two pronged chargers to easily fall out.

Doesn't work for me.
My MacBook Pro M1 16" gave me a tingling sensation when using it, so did a little research and found this. Should have done more research. I received the grounded "duck head", swapped it out with the one that came with my Mac, and . . . it still tingles. Turns out the little metal piece they use inside the slider isn't long enough -- only using about have the space as shown in the picture. I can see it with my own eyes. The metal piece needs to go ALL THE WAY. They cheaped out.I ended up ordering a grounded extension/adapter directly from Apple which features the full-length metal piece. I should get it in a few days. Hopefully it will work because this one didn't.

Great for travel to the US
I bought my original power adapter in New Zealand, so it came with an AU/NZ duckhead. Apple sells a travel kit with swappable plug shapes for every country, but it was expensive and included a lot of plugs I didn't need. I just wanted one for traveling back and forth from NZ-US. This duckhead is low priced, but doesn't feel cheap. It fits perfectly in the power adapter and is easy to swap when I get off the plane and want to charge my iPad. I like that it has a ground prong, even though that isn't the main reason I bought it.

GREAT idea, but poorly implemented.
I was so excited to find these that I ordered 2 of them!Apple makes the only grounded power supplies I've been able to find, in order to avoid passing an electric field onto the outer metal cases of their laptops, iPads, and iPhones, etc. And the grounding function works as long as you use a grounded cable with them. This LOOKs like it would make a grounded connection to those power supplies, without all the bulk of packing along a grounded power cable. And it sometimes works - but not reliably. I've confirmed with a voltmeter that the ground plug is connected to the metal bits inside the slot, which are intended to connect to a disk-shaped grounding connector on the apple power supplies. But I've also confirmed with an electric field meter that this connection isn't always getting made. It's a loose connection, when it should be a solid and reliable connection. When it's not working, the electric field is getting passed on to the case of my iPad, which gives me a tingling sensation whenever I touch that case, especially if my bare feet are touching the floor, completing an electrical circuit through my body. Exactly what this was supposed to avoid! For those who are sensitive to EMF & electrical fields, this is a really big deal.Sometimes it does work, grounding the case of my iPad, and avoiding that tingling sensation, as well as not spreading the electric fields.Overall, this is a very disappointing product, because it doesn't reliably succeed at the one and only thing it was supposed to accomplish. I've given it two stars for making an attempt in an excellent direction, but only two stars because the one new connection that matters isn't made reliability.
