Coworkers kept asking about Granma strawberry candy.

How has this turned out to be my favorite candy!?? This candy is good and takes me back to my childhood…. Definitely will buy again!!!!

The media could not be loaded. I bought these for my daughter who had been talking about loving the kind of strawberry candy with this sort of wrapper and not seeing them anywhere for a long time. I bought two pounds so they could be shared as she loves to share what she enjoys with her friends and loved ones. She was so excited to receive these and popped one right in her mouth. A couple seconds later she was running for a paper towel to spit it out. This made me try one.. they taste terrible! My daughter described them as "chemically" "plasticky" "waxy" and "gross" and " "they lack flavor and dont taste like strawberry". All of that was correct but what I tasted most was a weird moldy, mothball like flavor on my tongue after I crunched mine up and swallowed. " SHUDDER". Needless to say I am pretty hacked off to have wasred my money on a gift that let her down so much. I'm on a limited income and not being able to get my money back to invest into an alternate gift really stinks now, although the ad going in did say non returnable...who experts this kind of issue with hard candy? Others in our hone tried them and they all said " YUCK!" So now I have two pounds of trash in pretty wrappers. ZERO stars..taste like sadnesss.

These candies were not as good as other brands.

These look fine on the outside, but the individual pieces, not so much. They're each wrapped with a small piece of white paper (parchment paper, perhaps?) inside the pretty red-and-green exterior wrapper, and in each case so far, the paper is stuck to the candy to the point that you simply can't get it off. I've gotten several other orders of this same candy from this seller, and there have always been a FEW pieces that this happens to, but this time it's probably 90% I'm going to hazard a guess that at some point, they've gotten cold, and then have gotten warm enough that the pieces have a tiny amount of condensation forming... and that's all it takes to cause the porous paper to stick to the candy. I would imagine that the candy needs to be in storage somewhere so that there are fewer temperature fluctuations.

These have a strange taste and no strawberry chewy center as they should. Company does not allow returns. These should be taken off the market because they are made to look like the good ones.
