Basic Ophthalmology: Essentials for Medical Students

This book is an easy read and a concise explanation of basic ophthalmology.

The pictures and end-of-chapter questions are good. Very decent, but sometimes concepts were not explained terribly well. I think Tim Root's series covers 90% of the information in this book, and offers it in a way that is more memorable for a beginner. Relatively quick read.

The information in this text was much more basic than I was anticipating. In addition, the packaging was inadequate resulting in damage to the book. Overall, I don't think it was a good value at the list price of $70.
