London. 3:00am... same streets, different city. Living homeless after going on the run from a military court-martial, Joey Jones (Statham) is a damaged ex Special Forces soldier trapped in London’s criminal underworld. But when opportunity enables him to assume another man’s identity, he is transformed into an avenging angel.

Good movie, appropriate title
This one is a bit old for Jason Statham, at least I think so. But I think it's one of his better ones. The plot is actually good, a well-crafted human drama dressed in a semi-action film with an action film guy. I like th message. In the end, most of us just do the best with can with the hand we're dealt.

Not what I was expecting
This was amazing. Jason Statham really has this one gear, but this movie was built around it, and it pays off. So much darker and grittier than you'd expect from his usual films. I wish I had more to say but I'm realy still processing it.

Great movie
Really enthralling drama with a unique take on the whole deep dark injured warrior seeking redemption thing. It's good.

Not your typical action smash Statham flick
There is the good old Statham man of action stuff in here but the story line is more thoughtful than just a setup to more biff, bam, boom moves for Jason. Granted I'm not saying that the theme makes a telling mark but it's refreshing to see him not just a muscle kick boxer type guy all the time. There's some attempt to show the effects of PTSD on good men, how can someone get an opening to make a difference. It's also nice to see that sometimes the conclusion is a combination of bittersweet reality without rainbows and puppy dogs for everyone. It would of been better if the film audio was more evenly modulated so we didn't have to boost volume to hear intimate conversations. Last disclaimer this isn't Ingmar Bergman so yes a good bit of the plot is a bit predictable and trite but not everything is predictable.

Acting Is God
Why is this movie not EVERYWHERE?! Every part of the acting had a perfect representation of that emotion!

Different
I was expecting an action movie. It is and it isn't. There is a lot more story and less violence. It starts really slow. And it takes awhile to figure out exactly where the story is going. I liked both main characters. The female character is somewhat dull. But it fits the character. I would have preferred a different ending. But the ending is more realistic, perhaps, than my first choice.
