Mission: Yozakura Family, Vol. 2 (2)

Generally, I dislike writing reviews but this series is worth it. That’s the short of it. Like the last volume, the comedy is on point and the action scenes are exciting. Also, the art just keeps getting better and better. It’s really a shame that the color pages aren’t in color.This volume continues the slice of life format of the last volume but also adds in a dab of world building, stories about some of the siblings and a few remarkably heartwarming stories. We get a few new characters introduced through chapters, as well.Additionally through the world building we get to learn more about the spy world they are in and start to infer what the overarching plot will be.All these qualities alone would be enough for 5 stars in my book, but I have to say, for no real logical reason I just love this series for everything that it is so I’m just glad it’s coming out in the US.High: art and comedySurprise: a few really heartwarming episodes

Excellent, great story/characters, came in perfect shape

This volume was VERY good!While I liked volume one, I can genuinely say I deeply enjoyed this second volume because I laughed SO much! Taiyo's internal comebacks to the questions people ask him and the situations he faces are SOOOO on point that I lost count of how many times I laughed just in the first quarter of the volume alone! Definitely a story that I don't think takes itself TOO seriously but also does have some serious moments thrown in to capture the spy element pretty well. Great job mangaka!I definitely also felt that Kyoichiro is much more toned down compared to volume one. We spend a lot more time with other siblings and honestly was my favorite part of this volume specifically. Each character is really unique and has their own special dynamic with Taiyo that it was fun seeing how different situations would unfold in each chapter. Also made me read a lot faster I noticed because I just was having such a great time!I LOVED the "date" chapter! It was SOOOO cute and totally ship these two so much!! A very fun shonen couple that I definitely can't wait to see in anime form! (Also I LOVE this cover! They look so cute together!)Overall, I was a little unsure of how long this series would carry me with the previous volume even though I enjoyed it. But since reading volume two, I had such a blast following Taiyo! There are so many different shenanigans that I'm like as long as I don't think TOO hard on certain parts (such as the water balloon thing for example), it's a really great time reading this! Bummed I have to wait for volume three to release because I want to see more shenanigans unfold!

This series is funny and action packed. I like the dynamics of the siblings in the family.

New characters are introduced and the main couple keeps getting more and more adorable. This is definitely getting a anime maybe next year.I only wish they could fix/adjust the first volume by putting the table of contents that is still missing.
