Waste of money, not for Rode NT1
This mic stand has been just the biggest frustration. I have a heavier rode mic (NT1) and this stand doesnât hold it well, I am constantly tightening the joints until after only maybe 2 weeks of use, one joint doesnât hold tight any more. The screw doesnât hold well to the table unless I tighten it down hard, but then tightening it hard bent the bracket. It doesnât rotate a full 360 either, only maybe 180. I just canât make it work.Maybe this would be good if you had a very light mic and a really great spot to clamp it to the table, but for me it was a waste of money

THE CLAMP IS WEAK AND MISALIGNED
I could live with the wiry and weak frame but its the fact that the clamp to the table is not sturdy enough. I keep twisting and twisting and it just keeps eating into the table and in the end it is still loose. I go to move or adjust the microphone and the whole boom arm itself moves, including the clamp that is supposed to be holding it in place. What's more, the more I twist the clamp screw to get it in, the more the bottom of the clamp gets distended. I am not one to write negative reviews if I can return a product but I guess this one needs talking about.

Works well for intended purpose
The arm serves it's purpose well when used as depicted, attached to the side of a table with the vise tightened to prevent movement. However if used upside down, with the vise attached to the ceiling or upper material, the screw adjustments will not be strong enough to prevent the gravity of the mic from bringing the arm downwards into a slouched and outstretched position. Stronger springs were needed to gerryring the arm to accommodate the desired location.

Weak and Ineffectual
It immediately bent as soon as I tried fastening it to my desk. The strength of the arm can barely hold up my Rode PodMic. Moving it at all caused the arm itself to dislodge itself from the desk. It was cheap and boy howdy does it play the part.

Seek another option.
Purchased for my Rode NT Mini USB mic. There has to be a better option. when attached to the desktop it seems as if it is ready to tip over at a moment's notice. Spend a few more dollars and purchase a more substantial boom arm.

Unless you have a tiny desk -this isn't gonna fit anywhere let a long hold anything.
you get what you pay for, very weak and doesn't fit on many desks.
