It makes an ordinary cook look like a professional. It's easy to use, easy to clean and is a good quality product. If you struggle to make spaetzle this is an item you need. What a handy kitchen tool if you like to make Spaetzle! I ordered one a while back, as it looked sturdy and convenient, and easy to store. It's a quality item, and does a great job with spaetzle. comes with two plastic scrapers to push batter through it and into the water. and as a plus, it fit perfectly on top of my pot. a stroke of luck. would definitely order again. As I said, there's no handle on it so it just slides in beside the stuff in the cupboards, ready for the next use. a hint though: rinse with COLD water before you wash it. since the batter is flour/eggs, if you start with hot water, be prepared to spend some time scrubbing. cold water rinses it all off, then you can use hot. :-)

Functions as designed. However, it did get a little hot to get all of my dough through. Will likely split into two batches next time. Make sure it is a good fit on top of your pot of boiling water, too. Too small or too big would make it difficult to use.
