Bamix CLASSIC Stick Blender Set with multi-purpose stainless steel blade, 140 Watts, 2 Speeds, Made in Switzerland, Red

Bought this to replace a similar Bamix that we bought about 20 years ago. Hope it works as well. The older Bamix motor still works brilliantly, but sadly the small notch that retains the cutting tools broke off, hence the need for a replacement.

Front end is aluminium casting, which is a very poor choice (what is the matter with you people?). I do not want aluminium in contact with especially acidic foods, due to health concerns (e.g., have you ever left a 'sweet and sour' takeaway overnight in an aluminium container? It infuses the food with aluminium oxide, which imparts a unmistakable metallic taste. Some say there is a link between dementia and Al-oxide consumption). The huge aluminium casting is not declared in the description (if it was I would have steered well clear). Cheap alternatives commonly use stainless steel for all 'wet' parts, which is what I insist on. The only reason for using aluminium over stainless would be cost saving, which is not acceptable for a supposedly premium product. Swiss made junk.

I ordered this to replace my previous Bamix which has stopped working after more than 15 years. This is great as I am able to use my stand and all my attachments. I use this for soups, breadcrumbs, chopping nuts, parsley, whipping cream. Would be lost without it.

really powerful just need to find more attachments nowBlends okay if items well.cokked but doesn't cope like my previous model with carrots or ice cubes

Blender looks amazing and is high quality but it’s so heavy and cumbersome to work with and not actually that easy to clean when using for jams/chutney.Wouldn’t buy again.
