Worthwhile texbook for Vet Techs/ Vets
Worthwhile purchase! I was amazed at the level of detail that was put into the textbook, and the level of breakdown of a cat and a dog's muscle and bone structure. Very in depth and complex, and very beneficial for those entering the veterinary field. The price can be a bit steep but I think it's worth every penny.

Excellent Book.
This is an excellent book to use in conjunction with your vet anatomy studies. There is a full-color photo of every possible dissection of the dog's anatomy, with a labelled drawing next to each photo. The drawing matches the photo exactly, which makes those sometimes more difficult anatomical features of a dissection much easier to discern. The book is in full-color, print quality is excellent and is soft bound. The binding is sturdy, but the front and back cover could have been a little thicker stock to hold-up to the wear and tear of the backpack and lab a little better. I put a clear laminate cover on mine that seems to help keep it in decent shape. The book also comes with online access, although I haven't tried that out yet.Would definitely recommend this to supplement your lab dissections and for review for exams.

color atlas of Veterinary Anatomy ,v3
If this book i had it 15 years ago, i would have leart my anatomy better.full of "beautiful" pics and detail labels. Of course it cant be a serial pics like dissection class but i admit it as my best teacher.I am able to compare and appreciate the anatomy pictures in the book with the real live animal at my own pace.U cant appreciate the real if dun have the basic and dun know what u r looking at. This book help me to recognise the landmark.

WOW
I purchased this book to help me with my school anatomy books. WOW! I love the book! Most of my text books fall way short when showing muscles and organs, but this book it amazing. It doesn't just show you the muscles, but it goes layer by layer, so you can see and understand what is superficial and what is deep. Along with an actual photo, it gives you a detailed drawing beside the photo. Most of my school books are either drawings or only a lateral view, and they don't help much regarding the concept of where or how deep the muscle placement is in the anatomy. The only problem I have with the book is the labeling. Most of the labels do not match what is in a vet techs book. In other words, they give the correct labels, but you have to stop and think, and match up your text book with this book. For example: My text book list Common digital extensor muscle, while the book lists m. extensor digitorum communis. I know this book is listing it correctly, I just wish all text books would keep the same format. It's a great book, especially if you are studying to be a vet. It also would help any vet tech student. Just be aware there is a difference in anatomy names and you may have to do some "match ups" on the labeling. I think the "look inside" feature on Amazon leaves a lot to be desired in this book. The book is a LOT better than what you are shown in a few pages for review. If you can afford this book, I would highly recommend it for any veterinary or tech student to keep in their library of books. I can't say enough about it.

This book is an awesome tool for any vet student
This book is an awesome tool for any vet student. It has hundreds of pictures (all labeled) of live and dissected specimens, bones, and X-Rays. In my first year of vet school, I used it all the time!

Great lab book
Great book! Good lab dissection images and most pictures are easy to see. Helps with out of lab studying and things you can't dissect out.
