Quality and Excellence must have been on the designers mind!
Right out of the box you can see the high quality of this unit. It's well-maid, easy to use, and so far, it works great. I have a small engine workshop in my garage. My wife and my children were complaining about the odors coming from the workshop, and they were starting to suggest that I move my operation into the shed. (No A/C, No Heat, Not Going to Happen!!)So, my wife suggested that I get an air cleaner or something, and after doing quite a bit of research I chose the PuriCare 500 Hanging Air Filter. It has only been a short while, and already you feel a difference in the quality of air in my shop, and in my attached home.Well worth the price, easy to use, space-saving, and works great! That is exactly what I was shopping for. Hopw this review helps you! @LongIslandEngineRepairs

Works Great
Before purchasing I could visibly a cloud of saw dust in the air and it would take hours for it to settle. I have a 2 car garage and use one of these on the side over my woodshop. It does a fantastic job at keeping the air clean, I cannot see any dust in the air and the amount of settled dust on surfaces is way down. The unit is quiet, I'm able to run it without feeling like I need to wear headphones and I'm able to have a normal conversation without needing to raise my voice.I like the remote and timer function, so I can set the timer for an hour after I'm done for the night and it will automatically turn off.

Works well...
I hung this about 8 ft. high in my woodworking shop. It's quiet...some reviews said noisy but I don't get that at all. Maybe they have it sitting on a table or whatever. It does a good job of keeping the dust down and the remote is great. It works from anywhere in my shop and doesn't have to be pointing at the unit to work. The filter is on the back (intake) of the unit where it's easy to remove and replace. I'd recommend this to anyone needing filtration...

Great Machine
We purchased the PuruCare 500IG a few years ago and it has worked very well at removing fine particulate matter from the air. I am also impressed with the air quality meter performance. The meter provides a surprisingly repeatable measure of airborne dust. Filters are a bit overpriced, but some ingenuity can overcome this fact.

Changed the atmosphear of my shop.
I purchased two of these Purisystems Air Filtration System "PuriCare 500IGAir Filters" I splurged and got the Ion Drive units. Who knows when you will need to make the leap to light speed! After 24 hours the air in my shop smells better and there is substantially less sawdust accumulating on work benches and tools. I love them. I wish I would have purchased them sooner. The boxes were very wet they arrived. I was concerned until I opened the boxes. The PureCare 500IG's were dry and very will packed. The installation was pretty much straight forward. I did make minor changes. I did get more robust chain and hooks from the hardware store. The hooks on the top are set at roughly 13" and 15" centers but the rafters in my shop are at 24". Personally, I have an aversion to plastic molly inserts. So, bigger hooks and longer chain. I drilled pilot holes and screwed the lag hooks directly into the rafters. then hung the Air Filters from the rafters. I did need to take links out of one side to hang them level. I the installation I felt came out very nice. I did pick up extra filters as I thought all the dust in the shop might fill them up quickly. After 24 hours from the ground they look just fine so far.UPDATE : : : One of the units I purchased had a problem and quit turning off and on with the remote. I contacted Customer Service and after a couple of emails they sent me a replacement motherboard for the unit along with a link to a YouTube video how to make the change. That motherboard didn't work either. With in a day a new unit was on its way. When It arrived, I tested and hung the new unit. Boxed up the old unit and dropped it off at UPS. They stand behind their products! you can't ask for more than that. Fantastic Customer Service!

Absolute Junk
The media could not be loaded. This device has failed after only three uses. All it does now is beep and flash the LED's. Sent two emails to the vendor through their site and still no response.I let the device sit in my garage for a few weeks after I got it, and missed the Amazon return window, so now I have to try to get this resolved with an unresponsive vendor.

Has an auto-on feature
We got this for our woodworking shop to keep the dust down. It works great and is not very loud. It has a limit setting so you can set a minimum air quality and when the air gets dirtier than that limit, it automatically turns on, and then turns itself off when the air is below the limit. The remote works great. It was easy to install. We have not had to change the filter yet.
