ZIYO ZPL5041 -(20 Bulbs) LED Interior Light Kit Replacement for Mercedes Benz C Class W204 2008-2014 + License Plate Light Bulbs Package, Xenon White Dome Light Error Free

A couple of my interior lights went out last year so I decided to give this LED kit a shot (2008 Mercedes C350/W204 sedan). The old bulbs were dim and cast a yellowish light. These LED bulbs are a nice bright white with a (very slight!) hint of blue. Get a cheap trim removal kit or at least have a thin flat blade screwdriver and a plastic piece like an old credit card or plastic putty knife to help remove light fixtures before starting. DO NOT just start opening the bulbs and taking them out of the individual boxes! The instructions tell you what bulb goes into each fixture and the boxes are all marked with what bulbs are in each one. Fortunately the bulb types each look a little different so if you accidentally mix them up it’s easy to see which is which by looking at the instruction photos. I changed all my bulbs in about 45 minutes. The rear overhead light is a little tricky because you have to open the plastic housing by gently separating it in half by prying it apart to swap the bulb. Just be sure the “light up” side of the bulb is facing downwards when you instal it. I had to flip it once I put it in and realized it was shining upwards into the ceiling instead of down into the backseat. If you install a bulb and it doesn’t light up just flip it 180 degrees and install it the other way (think about it like when you accidentally put an AA battery into something the wrong way). I did not change out my rearview mirror map lights, the red warning light in the trunk lid, or the license plate lights because that required more effort than I wanted to do at this time. If the old bulbs go out I’ll then replace them with the LEDs but until that time… In the one year since I installed them I’ve had absolutely zero flicker or any error warnings/messages. I highly recommend this kit if you want brighter, more modern looking interior lights.
