Obama: The Historic Presidency of Barack Obama - 2,920 Days Hardcover – April 4, 2017

Regardless of your political views, no one can deny that Barack Obama was a trailblazer. As 2016 approached, I had lamented to myself that I had missed so much during those eight years. I bought this for my wife as an X-Mas present, and another for my mom. I have read my wife's entire book now before even wrapping it. It's not only the summaries, testimonials, and accounting of his eight years in office that stand out; the pictures tell so much more of the story. There are pictures which show his empathy, his humility, his humanity, and his patriotism...those images capture the man wonderfully here. Indeed, there is much here that I had forgotten, and more that I had even been aware of. Highly recommended!!!!!

This is primarily a picture book, featuring a number of wonderful photos taken during the time of the Obama presidency, many inside the White House or during political rallies, and meetings with leaders in Congress or average people; the one constant is President Obama, a most photogenic president. There is some text, including a forward by Ken Burns, as well as number of Obama's speeches: his victory speech in Chicago, his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, his Inaugural Address, his speech on the Affordable Care Act; on the Disclosure Act; on Marriage Equality; on Osama Bin Laden, and his Farewell Address.Chapters include Commander in Chief, The Worst of Times, Honor Roll, The Digital Presidency, The First Family.Bottom line: this is a wonderful reminder of what a special time the Obama presidency was.

This is a very informative and lovely book. It sits on my coffee table and everyone who sees it opens it up and starts reading! Mark Greenberg has done a very good job of telling stories about this historic President and the pictures nicely complement each one. I absolutely enjoy reading it and the cover picture is one of my favorite of President Obama. This book is a good choice for those who would like a close glimpse of President Obama without all of the hoopla. This is a keepsake tome!

Mark Greenberg did an excellent job in this photo biography of the Obama years in office. It reminds the "normal" Americans when America had a president you could count on and when America was respected among our allies and other nations. America will look back at the Obama years as one of the best in America's history. Here was a man who celebrated with Americans and who was there to cry with Americans after another horrific killing spree. This president had humility and he understood, that America will only flourish in accordance with the other countries. Together we are strong and together we can solve the biggest problems in the world. Unfortunately, these years are over and we are now living in the dark years. The book of Mark Greenberg is highly recommended!

There is little doubt that this book has been lovingly and intelligently edited. The images are revealing, most giving insight into the President that I had never known - and more importantly, they prove what a sincere, compassionate, dedicated man Obama is. If you want to know what Obama represents for the country, all you have to do is look through this book. Captions are strong, informative. The layout crisp and thrilling. The book? The book is history visited, revisited, remembered and celebrated.

Very good book recapping the Obama presidency. High quality photos and transcripts of some of President Obama's most memorable speeches help tell the story of this historic figure's time in office.With the quality and content of the book, you would think it would cost twice as much as it does. This is a great addition to any Obama supporters' collection or anyone interested in this historic time in our nation.(BTW: A nice surprise is under the jacket of the book with President Obama's signature embossed into the front of the book)

Loved the really good photos, and, of course, the explanations of each of them. Was going to give it away as a Christmas gift, but am keeping this copy for my own collection of Presidential works and books about, (taught Gov. And Econ. And World and U.S. history for 45 years.)

Absolutely astounding that such a book is available for this price. The photographs are pure delight and included all of my favorite recollections. Showing Mr. Obama as a true man of the peoplr.
