Q: can the bowl tolerate heat. I am looking for a bowl that I am able to melt my oil and mix with the lye to make my cosmetic ingredient for my small bus

I would use it for any melting. it seems to be stainless steel. I think you maybe able to but not 100% sure. I love mine it holds a lot..

I don't know the actual qt. size of mine, but I have a 5.8 qt air fryer and the mixer bowl is much bigger. I'd venture to say closer to the 9.5 qt you mention in your question.

Obviously the 9.5Qt. capacity is misleading then, in fact 9.5Qt. capacity should handle 5lb. flour without any problem, because I had one 10Qt. capacity and handles 8lb flour with a lot room. it's said 9.5Qt. all over the description, but did not mention about actual mixing bowl size how deep and how wide in measurement.
