Fantastic for natural squats, hammer curl/forearms, and "dead weight" carry
The media could not be loaded. I'm 6'4". Tossing this bag over my back and doing squats with it feels so much more natural and comfortable that using the standard bar in the gym. I can now squat in my office on my breaks. I can do stiff-legged raises. I walked across the parking lot with this over my back to simulate the "dead weight" or "dead man" carry, and I can't believe how quickly I got out of breath. The bag is very easy to fill with sand. The opening for the bag I much larger than I thought it would be. It empties easily, too. You can do lunges with this bag on your back also.In their video you see the man awkwardly doing press above the head. I was hoping I'd be able to do triceps with this bag. But it's just too big/wide to do behind the head tricep extensions. But that's no fault of the company's. This bag is great for the lower body, especially if you have an aerobic step to help you stand a little higher off the floor.I'm baffled at a few of the others who have said in their reviews that it was too hard to load with sand or they couldn't figure out how to put sand in it because there was no instructions. Get a hand shovel or a large cup. Pull the "chute" sleeve from the inside of the bag (like pulling a shirt inside out). See my attached photo. Yes, this is a different design from the other bag that you actually put smaller, loaded bags inside of the bigger bag. But that's why this is a good bag to have in your collection.I really have nothing negative at all to say about this bag. I'm very happy I have it.

Interesting training/workout device. It gives you a tough workout!
I have to admit, I am not a Crossfit devotee but this thing gives you a pretty good workout. The fact that you lift all 100 lbs. of it in different ways than weights works a lot of muscle groups that you don't normally get and you can better incorporate cardio and strength training throwing this soft bag around than you can with weights, which can hurt you. One word of caution ... go easy at first. It's easy to overdo it and feel REALLY sore the next day after using it the first time. It's kind of simple using this, although it comes with no instructions or video link that I could find with exercises. There are plenty of sandbag workout clips on the video sharing sites. Honestly, the hardest part is filling it up! This requires 100 lbs. (if fully filled) of sand. A 50 lb. bag of sand (playground sand is what it's called there) is $5. You'll need 2 bags obviously, so add $10 to the cost of this, unless you live near a beach. The tricky part is lifting the 50 lb. bag and spilling it into the floppy 'shute' made of fabric. It would be easy for 2 people to do but if you miscalculate, your sand will spill everywhere but inside the spout and the weight will be off. Clip the corner only off the plastic sand packaging bag from the store, place the workout bag on a trash can or something high (or the ground) and gently lower the cut bag's corner into the fabric chute. You'll need to stop every now and again and adjust or shake the bag. The hardest part comes ehen loading the second bag because you'll have to stop and shift the sand inside to the ends, away from the middle, with your hand or it will overflow in the center before the 2nd bag is in. Once filled, recycle the plastic bags and pinch the chute closed, which seals it with velcro. Roll it over and double seal it and then zip it up.I tried to dry the sand (it's winter in New England) but try drying out 50 lbs. of sand ... not easy. I made sure to get bags of sand which were not open or punctured. The sand was still a bit moist when I put it in the bag. Hopefully it won't get moldy inside. Once sealed, you are ready to go!At first, feeling this empty, I thought there was no way this would last being thrown around. The cover felt like a grill cover material and the bag is lightweight empty. However once filled, it feels more like a punching bag and I can see that the side handle straps are seat belt material that is stitched on well. I wouldn't toss this around on concrete or the fabric may wear thin or tear ... but on a lawn or maybe even in a wood floor gym, this should take some abuse.I started just by lifting the bag up and down. As you do, it rocks back and forth, which gives your core a better workout than a stable/smooth motion the way a dumbell or bar would give you. Then, I put it across my shoulders and ran with it for short clips. I clean jerked it and threw it over my head, like the strong man competitions. I pressed it to my chest and then over my head. Finally, I finished by doing some squats with it and walking around my yard with it on my shoulders to cool down. I broke a sweat and felt good. The next day ... I could barely walk I was so sore!100 lbs. is a heavy weight. But, you get used to it ... and I'm a big guy at 6'3, 230 lbs. I really like the feel of this type of workout and will add a bag day to my regimen once or twice per week for as long as this lasts. Just picking it up and lifting it is a good muscle strength work out. As I watch more videos, I will hopefully figure out more exercises. For what it is, it's a bit of a novelty. It would probably be great for grapplers, UFC-style fighters, Crossfitters, etc. The value isn't terrible when you consider the cost of a good heavy bag for punching. You may be able to do the same stuff with that. Keep in mind, you'll need to add about $10 worth of sand. Overall, I think this is a good supplemental training device. It does take up a lot of space and isn't the easiest thing to move around. I'd probably order it again.

Great Bag; Small Flaw
This bag was so likeable. The double Velcro was strong, the stitching for the grips were superb, filling it wasn't a hassle if you took your time....however, none of that mattered because of one simple manufacturing mistake, at least for my bag; the corner where the inside mouth is stitched to the outside zipper was thin and must have ripped at some point (I've only used this bag a handful of times in the less than two months I've had it). Sand poured out everywhere inside and small amounts leaked out whenever I used it. Disappointed? Yes. Defeated? No, I still use it after some Jerry rigging.

Works well. Must supply own sand. Leak free and durable. Two "sets" of straps
This bag is an excellent piece of crossfit equipment.Build Quality:Grade: Athis bag is very durable and well constructed. All the straps are very well reinforced. The material is very thick and durable.Sand Sold SeparatelyThis bag does not come with sand. You must supply your own sand. You can usually get sand for around $3-4 a bag. Each bag weighing 44-50lbs. NOTE: Be sure to dry out your sand by putting it outside on a sunny day prior to filling. I spread mine out on a tarp.Sand Loading Sleeve:Sand is loaded through a sleeve. The sleeve has velcros on the inside edges to securely close. The sleeve then rolls up and is maintained rolled up with a second velcro closure. Finally this is all tucked in nicely in a pocket with is then zipped up. The zipper is covered by a small piece of fabric (similar to what you see on some pillows) (See bottom right or 3rd picture)Great Straps:The straps are excellent. They are very durable yet "soft" and pliable. They are comfortable in my hands and will not give "rope burns" like some nylon straps. They feel like a seat belt.Leak Free:There are no sand leaks from any seams or from the loading sleeve.Final thoughts:This bag is great and very comfortable to use. I highly recommend it
