I adored this book and the careful thought put not just into the art, but the characters, their daily lives and the greater world around them. The little girl and her daily life with an outsider she calls teacher was so sweet. The way Teacher tried to protect her, whether helping her gather food, or keeping information from her so as not to hurt her, to protecting her from himself by having her hold a stick so she doesn’t directly touch him is all so complex and fascinating. I found myself both wanting to see more cute day to day life, and also see the hard moments as their lives clash with those on the “inside”. I recommend this to people who love cozy fantasy with a healthy dose of horror.

Oh gorgeous! My first to read. Love it

I love this series and how there are multiple volumes in one book. Cover is beautiful.

There were many revelations on simple joy, new experiences, survival, and connections in this book that I had a hard time putting down. Thus, the speedy read from Vol. 1-3. Vol. 3's ending got me choking and bawling my eyes out! It is not what I expected and seems to have gotten from a simple "creating a home" to heavy topics like love and sacrifice. How did it all turn 180 degrees on me in a split of an eye?The pacing of the books was fast and good. The bonus sections between chapters gave me much reprieve from the cliffhanger cut-off scenes. It was good to laugh at one of the funny experiences. These bonus chapters look like drafts that didn't make it to the final chapters of the official book.Conclusion: I highly enjoyed this book series and cannot wait for Vol IV. It is very entertaining and has all the elements of excellent, current, and relatable nuances.

Perfect condition

This was for someone else and they love it. I got to see the book for myself and it is gorgeous. It looks well made and it has a remarkably new scent to it. The art is fantastic.I don't know much about the series outside of what I was told, but just a skim of this book made me curious. Hardcover recommended if you like this story.

The media could not be loaded. The price in stores vs this hardcover is a good deal. Paper isn’t the same as a normal manga, so store appropriately. I love the gold embellishment to the cover.
