Took quite a bit of work to set up, but worth it
Let me preface this by saying I bought this with the intention of modding it - and I got a good deal on a b-stock from Amazon warehouse. It arrived with no case in a single rectangle box, completely surrounded by form-fitting foam. So it was securely packed. Thanks amazon. My first impression is that this guitar is incredibly light weight, yet well balanced. So light that some people might find it cheap feeling, but with the body contours and weight, it is the most comfortable guitar I own.I have owned Sawtooths before and I have liked their necks, which is why I decided to pull the trigger on this one. That and it included Wilkinson hardware. The bridge on this is really nice. It looks good with no cheap chrome flaws. It was close to intonated correctly, so with a little work I dialed in the intonation easily. The tuners are nice as well. They feel very solid, all with a uniform level of firmness when turned. They seem to hold tuning well with no problems. The nut appears to maybe be bone and is cut well enough - strings are at a good height. I planned to upgrade to bone but not necessary. The neck is really nicely finished, glossy but still comfortable. It's not super chunky or too thin, comfortable. Frets are smooth on the ends, no sprout on mine. But there were 2 frets that had a high spot at the 8th & 9th fret around the G string. I had to do some leveling to help fix it. The neck needed a slight truss rod adjustment but was pretty flat. Problem was it needed to be shimmed to get the action and relief right. It took quite a bit of dialing in the relief, neck angle, and action to get it right. Once I got it 99% perfect, I felt satisfied. This was the hardest setup I've done, but now that it's where I like it, I'm happy. The strings seemed really old or cheap, so I need to replace them. And I need to do a real buffing on the frets I had to level. The build quality is good. I looked at the neck pocket when I took the neck off and it was well carved. The routing on the control cavity was clean too. The pots are no-name, unmarked pots, but they are full size. They have a nice taper to them and turn very smoothly with no scratch or static. The switch and jack are cheap-o but do the job fine. The wiring is very clean and well organized, good job!Pickups sound good. The neck is a little quiet so I had to raise it closer to the strings, but they sound fine. However, the cloth wrapping around the coil wire is pretty sloppy on mine, and there is some glue residue/oozing around around one side of the bridge pickup. Not beautifully made or quality controlled, but they sound fine. (I plan to replace with Seymour Duncan's anyway).Like I said, mine was a B-stock because it had a few scratches on the back and the knobs were cracked as if they were jammed on the posts too far. Remember, black matte finished guitars are finger print magnets!!All in all, I paid $150ish for this and I'm happy with it. It'll be a great mod platform, exactly what I wanted. Even without mods, it still sounds good and feels good, but you may have to put in some work or get it professionally set up. It's always worth investing time in a setup before you really try to bond with a guitar.Update: I finally finished all the upgrades. The tuners are great and didn’t need changing but I wanted locking tuners, so I swapped out with Hipshot locking tuners. The nut needed nothing but a little graphite. The stock pots and wires were good too but I swapped them out with a premium GFS harness with cts pots and a better switch.I didn’t care for the sound of the pickups after a while, they were kind of bland and dark for me. So I put a Seymour Duncan trembucker in the bridge and a rail humbucker from a previous build.I wanted solid brass saddles cuz they look cool and feel more solid. After all these upgrades and putting new 9 gauge strings on it, it’s fantastic. This guitar needs 9 gauge strings in my opinion. I’m very very happy.

Good to go!
Fret ends were polished well, action and intonation were right on. No complaints, even better setup than a brand new Fender American.

Great value!
I'm blown away by this guitar. The playability is as good or better than my 500 guitar, great neck! no sharp frets, perfect shape not too thick and not too thin, bridge and tuning pegs are high quality very lightweight and beautiful matte black finish with nice block fretboard marks. The pickups sound horrible but thats to be expected with any guitar in this price range. I'm having Seymore Duncan's installed.

For the price An excellent Guitar
Overall very Impressed with the ST-M24-SBK. Fit and finish are really good. The pups are a bit screechy but managable.I LOVE LOVE LOVE the finish its matte black and baby bottom smooth can not beat it.My only issue is the Neck. The neck has a glossy finish I really do not care for glossy finishes on necks it seems slower to me. That being said no sharp fret ends and good level frets are a major plus for me.Like I said I am VERY impressed with this guitar. I do NOT think you could find better at this price point.ADDED bonus M.A.B. Signed the back of the headstock for me very cool. . .Shipping wise it arrived 3 days before it was supposed to so another bonus yay....
