I am a big fan of dehydrated and freeze dried fruit and do a lot of both myself. But I have never done cherries, so I was pleased to get these to try.The bag is a good size and although it is a big bag for the contents in there, I believe this is probably necessary in this instance to ensure the product stays in good condition.If you like cherries as a garnish in drinks and dont have your own dehydrator, or the room in your r=freezer to dehydrate yourself, then bought freeze dried is the way to go. You get so much more flavour than when using the fresh product, and at the end of the drink they are delicious to eat. I have also used these in my over night oats, where less is more because of the strong flavour. So this bag is going to last me quite a while. I may make some cherry muffins at some point as I know how good dehydrated fruit is when baking.As for price, freeze dried and dehydrated is always expensive, but this is a bigger portion than bags I have bought elsewhere, so and the value is reasonable to me. But it does demonstrate why I bought a dehydrator, though cherries, like raspberries I think are probably easier to just buy like this.

These were a pleasant surprise as they were much sweeter than I expected and I didn't expect to like them so much. Very often cherries can be far too tart but I always try to add a few to my diet for the nutrients and antioxidants.These were just the right sweetness at first, with a wee tang of tartness at the end. Of course this is my taste preference, you may prefer them tarter or sweeter, but to my taste buds they were just right.They were sliced from whole cherries and very few had crumbled to fine bits (any crumbly bits I just add into smoothies or sprinkle on ice cream or yogurt so unless it's most of the pack a few crumbled is to be expected). Most were loose and separated, and completely dried, a few were stuck together but pressing my nail against the edges separated them easily as they were very dry.Be careful handling freeze dried pieces especially if they are delicate slices else you'll likely crumble them yourself if you are too ham fisted. Though when you want to crumble over something it's simple and easy to do providing your hands are completely dry.Freeze dried fruits are much drier and crispier then normal dried, and don't have the stickiness due to the complete lack of moisture (and no glazing agents are used). The flavour can take a little longer to reveal itself, often when sufficient moisture from the mouth soaks into it and then you get the full flavour zinging on your tongue. Lovely!You are advised to keep them stored in the original recyclable bag (make sure you push all the air out before sealing), and in a cool dark place away from the light. Doing so will ensure they stay in optimal condition if you aren't likely to use them up quickly.There is a good expiry date (2025) if you want to store for a while, (although if you have opened them and used some, I'd put them in a vacuum bag or some other airtight bag as air and moisture will degrade them after a while)Well pleased with these, and recommend them.

I am a huge cherry fan and these are wonderful. First opened the bag and the smell was fantastic. I am using these to make homemade extract for Christmas gifts. After starting the process, these were full of flavor and aroma. Can't wait to try the finished product. These were so good, I will be ordering again!

These are tart but taste great and add a nice crunch to our morning yogurt and "NO SUGAR ADDED"

If you want tart cherries that are dehydrated, these might be perfect for you. If you want sweet cherries that are freeze dried, these will make you angry. I needed crunchy, truly freeze dried cherries for a fancy dessert, so I was excited to find these, especially such a large bag. When I opened the package, it was one stuck together mass of sour, chewy cherries. Very disappointing.
