Tape measures are NOT all created equal! The reason this one is more expensive is because it is 1-easy to read, 2 the tape is thicker and smoother , 3the spring retractor works perfectly!I have had one of this brand for 20+ years and it is still perfect. I wanted a couple more and I thought I was buying the same thing when I ordered the cheaper pack of 3. Sorry, they are not nearly the quality of this one. Those have cheap tape that is very narrow and red numbers that are hard to read. Plus they don't retract as smoothly as this brand.I just ordered 2 more! Great product!
