HumaxHGD310 - DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem, Approved for COX & Xfinity & Spectrum, Black, Max Internet Speed Plan 2000 Mbps

Not only did I received a used item, I was unable to activate it with Spectrum. I have a computer science bachelor's degree and have activated internet cable modems before. Spectrum does not recognize the device's MAC address. Packaging was obviously opened, bags cut open, device scratched. Why would a company send out a used item as new and also a defective item. What kind of quality assurance standards does Amazon vendors have. This is not only very poor standards but also false advertising.

Bought this to replace my trusty SB6183, but wanted DOCSIS 3.1 without breaking the bank so I figured I would give this one a try. The physical build quality seems pretty good right down to the power brick, I unboxed it, plugged everything in and to my suprise had internet with out even calling in the MAC address, albiet it was slow. I called Spectrum and got the MAC address setup and the modem provisioned properly and then got full speed and it's been consistant for days now. I have not tried it at gig speeds so I can't speak for how well the link aggregation works and stability at gig speeds and above, I have the 500/20 plan.

I bought this modem to replace my old modem whose max speed was around 200Mbps. However, my Xfinity plan is 400Mbps. I received it on the second day after order was placed - super fast. I spent around 20 minutes to register this new modem in Xfinity network and easily installed it successfully.After 1 week run, the max speed is 439Mbps (around 10% higher than my plan) that really exceed my expect. Moreover, it works stably like a rock without any interruption. Till now, I am completely pleased with this product.I didn't contact their tech support, so I give them 4 stars. For Wifi signal and Easy to install, I give them 5 stars as I think it deserves.

Absolute garbage. Worked great my first day. Second day came around and my connection was spotty I work from home so I need an uninterrupted connection this Modem kept cutting out.I called to make sure that this wasn’t my Internet provider Xfinity.Xfinity said they’ve never heard of this brand do yourself a favor and stay away.Go with the reputable brand Netgear, TP Link, MotorolaAlso I barely got it activated in the first place

I purchased this item four months ago and everything was going well. Last week I received an email from Exfinity saying that as of March 2023 the modem was no longer compatible with their network, and I would have to buy a new modem or rent one of theirs. I tried calling Humax but the US number is disconnected. Amazon has accepted the return of the modem but is now trying to charge me a restocking fee of $18
