Loved
I gifted these to my sister as at our last visit she did not have a knife that would cut butter. She was so excited when she received these that she gave them a special place on her counter. She actually keeps moving them around to show them off. Well worth the money just to make her happy.

What a great set! Beautiful & so functional. I didn’t realize how badly our old knives needed replacement. Great buy, great price!

Great knives for just under $100
I’m impressed with these Cangshan german steel forges knives.I used to work in a store that sold high-end knives so I’m pretty familiar with what classifies as a good knife. However, I always say, the best knife for you is the one you are most comfortable using. If you aren’t comfortable, you are going to either avoid it, or possibly get hurt. There are a few things that I think are important in a knife. This knife says it’s “Hand crafted full tang knives forged from…German steel”. That is excellent.A chef’s knife should have a full tang. In my photos can see a diagram showing the anatomy of a knife and how these knives compare. The chef’s knife has a good weight, and balance. The full tang means that the steel goes from the tip of the knife all the way through the handle to the butt. Therefore, you never have to worry that your blade will come lose from the handle when cutting through tougher materials. A full tang also helps balance your knife. It also adds weight, which helps when cutting through denser foods, and balancing the knife. It’s not as important to have a full tang on a paring knife, you aren’t going to be cutting through things like bones, or winter squash with it. You will most likely be using it to peel something, or other little jobs. A paring knife should not be as sharp as other knives because you are normally pulling the blade toward you, if you slip a really sharp knife is not a good idea. I find the pairing knife included in this offer is a bit big, and not as easy to work with. I was not comfortable using it to peel something. My husband likes it better than I do. As I said, you have to find the knife that fits you.The knives came very sharp. Each time you use your knives you should hone them so they stay sharp. (*there is not a honing rod in this offer, there are a lot of YouTube videos that can show you how to use a honing rod and discuss which type of honing rod is best for you). I’ve used a steel honing rod each time I’ve used the knives, and they are still super sharp. (I got these knives about a month and a half ago. Daily use.)To save the blade, I saved the cardboard sleeves the knives were wrapped in so I could put the knives back in them if I needed to put them in a drawer. The only things that bother me are:1. The handle is too smooth. If my hands get wet it’s a bit slippery.2. I’m simply not a fan of the white. It matches my kitchen, but I think it cheapens the look of them.3. The pairing knife is a bit big for a pairing knife, it may be best for someone with a larger hand. Or some people may just like it bigger. Personally I like a light weight paring knife, something cheap. I don’t use one very often, so the cheap little paring knives are perfect for me.The holder is lovely and well made, but it uses up valuable counter space, so I probably won't use itI hope this review is helpful.

Beautiful knife set!
Beautiful knives. SHARP!My husband and I love to cook. And our knives are lacking. We’ve had our current knife set that was a wedding gift 15 years ago. Plus, didn’t take care of them as we should have and it shows. These knives have been a dream! Using them compared to our old knives..... wow! Definitely passed the tomato test with ease. Looking forward to using these in our culinary adventures. Nice ergo handle. Light enough for me to use comfortably. Triple rivets in a stunning white handle. And the walnut knife block makes for a beautiful display. It looks great in our kitchen. We’ve invested in a wet stone, so we plan to keep that German steel in tip top shape. This is a knife built to last and we plan to keep it that way.I would definitely recommend this set.
