Excellent cut from hollow-ground hair thinning scissors with stable tension adjustment
The Smith Chu hairdressing thinning scissors (7” from blade tips to screw-in grip tips) are very well made from good quality stainless steel. They cut and thin hair very easily, thick or fine, exactly on the chosen line. The blades are very slightly hollow-ground to maximise precision of edge contact. Left handed means the blades close with the bottom one moving from the left, the other way around from most conventional scissors. The captive adjustment allows for an optimum blade tension balanced with minimum effort from the fingers. The special ‘split-screwdriver’ combination tool included in the set makes it easy. The simple symmetrical finger grips could be more comfortable. They lack contours except for screw-in pegs which leave rough edges inside the grips. There is no option for different size fingers. The balance is noticeably blade-heavy. Okay
Got these hair thinning scissors for my brother. They are good quality and blade is sharp. They thin the hair well. It says they are left handed scissors but I don’t think it is. I’m right handed and tried to use them and they felt comfortable enough to use. Comes with a scissors case which is very cheap quality and super flimsy so definitely he won’t be using it. Overall Okay I guess. Currently priced at £31.89 which I think is slightly expensive considering the cheap quality case.

Satisfactory
I wouldn’t call these left hand scissors _ they seem universal to me, as you can hold them either way.Because of the universal design, they feel slightly less comfortable in the hand. It’s not terrible, but it’s not perfect either. The blades seem reasonably sharp, but there is slightly more friction in the mechanism that I would expect. The carry ‘ storage case seems cheap ‘ poor quality, but obviously that has no impact on the performance of the scissors.

This item arrived safe and well packaged. This is a good pair of left handed thinning scissors. They are very sharp and quite capable of thinning hair well. These are perfect for my home haircuts, and are helping give much greater results than without. They're helping to thin out my boys hair, which is always very thick. A great thinning scissor and a lovely gift for any budding left handed hairdresser!I highly recommend this product.
