Excellent well made electronic parcel box
A really good well made parcel box. Some say they are difficult to program but itβs just a matter of following instruction carefully. Comes with key fob, key card, 4 x AA batteries, comprehensive instructions and 4 x 8mm mounting bolts. Not the easiest to mount due to the weight (23Kg) but get a wifi bridge and remote module and you can open them from anywhere in the world. Love ours! Just need to train Amazon how to use it properly now.

Secure and robust - easy to operate
The media could not be loaded. This is a good solid box, It will deter any causal parcel thief. It is very well made and has a clean, robust look. The lock is battery powered and the batteries are securely housed inside the box.It was fairly straight forward to set up following the instruction booklet. The box can be opened with a card or key fob (supplied) or a code typed in on the panel on the front. You can programme in a number of codes, some which are only valid for a limited time. The Lock beeps clearly when the right code has been entered and you can open the door. It has a reassuring responsiveness to it and is simple enough for quick and easy use by those delivering the parcels - I am very happy with this.

Nice idea; far too complex to program without getting extra accessories
Yale really need to take a long look at their boxes. The smart delivery box is HUGE but doesn't have any grab hold handle holes. That makes it a total pain to move around. Moving, positioning the delivery box is a two person job. The box is interesting in that it appears to be a steel box with a Yale electronic door latch fitted to it. Inside the box you get the box; two smart cards, instructions and some bolts to secure it down. The latch lock takes 4 aa batteries; and some generic ones are included. Swapped these out for some lithium versions that should last longer. The lock is a terrible design straight out of the 90s. It is programmed by keystrokes that are acknowledged by beeps. You absolutely need the manual to program a code for someone to use the lock; or setup a card. This is likely fine when its a latch lock; on a delivery box it's a misery - as its on the floor, outside, and it's November. If you want the delivery box I would definitely suggest you get the access module so you can program it via your phone. Setting one of the 20 daily access codes to give to amazon would soon lead to broken knees - let alone the frustration of not pressing 1* when it should have been a # or whatever the sequence is.The box itself is big enough to take 2 of the medium sized amazon delivery boxes. The box has a gasket around the door to keep rain and pests out. Though you way want to put some Sealant around the screw holes to stop water getting in from there. Its definitely a good idea; and Yale do a camera to go along with it to record deliveries as they happen. I think that not including a way to program it via a smartphone/ tablet out of the box is a mistake; and one that makes using the delivery box far too complicated. It has made me think about getting one of the Yale locks to replace the latch lock on my door. Its not a safe; the walls aren't thick; and the security is provided by the latch and nothing more. It is better than getting a parcel left by your door though.

Excellent and secure parcel drop box
This drop box is superb! I live alone and often find it frustrating having to ask, and rely on others to accept parcels on my behalf. This has solved that problem once and for all. Admittedly, something very large isn't going to fit (an ironing board for instance!), but for the every day, usual small deliveries, this is perfect.Installing the box, and securing it to the wall, was simple and quick. Anyone with even the most limited experience of DIY won't have any issue with installation at all.Setting up took a little more time, as there are many steps to follow in the process. There is the option to program up to 20 different codes so that no two couriers have the same access code(not really sure this is necessary as the box is either open or closed, and it either has contents, or it doesn't). You can also set a 24 hour code which requires changing after a day. The electronic keypad is excellent and weatherproof. The box also comes a fob and access card which gives instant entry once coded.Once installed and set up, I updated my delivery instructions to reflect the new home system. On Amazon, for example, this was a tricky as I don't think these boxes are particularly common yet, and the option fields don't really accommodate for a drop box. This was proven the first time it was used in practice and the delivery driver left my parcel beside the box in full view of passers by! The next time it was needed, the Yodel courier phoned me and I had to explain what they needed to do to open the box and leave the parcel (at least we're making progress!). This was in spite of there being an instruction sticker on the top of the box. Royal Mail don't current have provision for this on their website. My hope is that, with more use, and these boxes becoming more commonplace, it will get used with greater frequency and success. We shall have to wait and see.At Β£300, this is not a cheap buy. However, it is made by Yale, so you can be confident of its quality, which is excellent. And I suspect as they become more commonly used and alternatives come on the market, the prices will start to fall. I am very happy overall and if, like me, there is no one at home during the day to receive deliveries, it eliminates a major frustration. Very highly recommended.
