Good. Came with good tools for fitting and some instructions. Seems to have improved my laptop.

The battery works really well, took about 1.5 hrs to fit but had no issues. Holds charge really well. Has extended the life of our Macbook Pro which previously needed to stay plugged in all the time to work.

Made a complex task in to a diy solution

MacBook Pro was failing - unplugged I was lucky to get 30 minutes.New Macbook at £1000+ or try this battery at ~£55 : worth a go.It was a doddle to replace the old battery. The removal instructions are simple and easy to follow, both the included booklet and the video in the Amazon product details.In well under an hour, the laptop was up and running again - As I write this, I've been unplugged for 3 hours, and MacOs reports well over 4 hrs remaining.Suggestions to improve the product - mark the screwdrivers to indicate the shape, Penta or Torx needs a magnifying glass with my eyesight.Suggestions for using the product - Take it slowly and gently when breaking the adhesive (steps 15 to 18 in the booklet) wiggle the pry boards side to side while pushing gently and the adhesion will break.Superb way to revive an dying laptop.

OK, had the battery 5 months now, first month I couldn't get it to charge over 35%, even with it being on charge for over 12 hours. It couldn't be trusted to keep the charge, so working on the road like I do, I had to always have another way of powering up the laptop, in case it failed again.Yesterday 70 miles from home, and really needed the laptop to not fail as I had important work to get out, it failed at 78% charge. When it eventually did restart it was showing 0% and shut down straight away. I didn't get the work across that I needed to, and didn't get paid on a totally wasted day. Now this was after it had taken 17 hours to charge to 78% as it always takes forever to get to 100% (My power pack was in my car which had broken down the day before, and nowhere open on the 1st Jan to get power)So NO I would not recommend this battery, especially if you depend on your kit working when you need it.

It was well packaged with sufficient tools and instructions to make what is always tricky (fixing and Apple device!) doable as a DIY project. "Easy" is relative, but it was made as easy as could be expected. It's too early to tell after a week if it's going to last as long as the original but I have no reason to doubt it. The only thing I got caught on was not having isopropyl alcohol handy. I can understand it could be difficult to include the alcohol, but my fault for not watching the video!

My laptop is now safely fitted with a new battery!Be sure to check that the cable to recognise the battery is installed fully. It can be a tight fit.Otherwise, it’s the perfect item!
