Quality and it Works For My Miniature Dachshund
I'm happy that I bought this short restraint. Most are so long that your dog can climb into your lap. This one works well with my miniature dachshund. It gives him enough lead to lie down, sit up, and turn around and adjust himself comfortably. I know that a crash tested (very expensive) kennel that is securely attached in the back seat is the safest way to travel with a dog, but I live in Florida and it is usually so hot for a kennel that my dachshund pants even with the air-conditioning blowing hard, so in the summer, this restraint will be cooler for him. I turn the air bag to OFF because he rides up front, passenger side. I think that it is important to use a very good, secure harness with this restraint. I use a No Choke harness by Noodle and Friends and am also buying a Hold a Dog by Dachshund Delights. Never use a collar for any vehicle restraint!

Keeps my dog safe
I love this dog buckle much more than the typical safety belt offered that leys your dog run all over the car yet. This buckle keeps my dog in his seat where he belongs. It's easy to use and comfortable for my dog.

Decent belt, works with collars.
It was difficult from the item description to determine if the 'seatbelt harness' was actually a harness, or just the little bit they show in the lower picture. It's just the little bit. I attached it to my Corgi's collar and the rides went well. The picture attached shows the rather uncomfortable looking position my dog had to take up in order to lay down, even with the pillow to help.Pros: Kept the pup off my lap, which made driving a lot easier and safer, and reduce grumpy commands for him to lay down. With a pillow under him, my dog was able to lay down comfortably while wearing the seatbelt.Cons: Without the pillow he had to reach his head too far to lay down, and would be pulling against the belt (looked really uncomfortable.)It was difficult for my dog to lay down. Since it was a long road trip (over 6 days and about 3,000 miles), it was really important that he could be comfortable. This didn't work out perfectly for him.Overall, I am glad I have it and the price is good. I think with a harness this item will be even more useful. My dog was safe, and I was safer without him hopping around and trying to get into my lap.My dog is 27 pounds, about 15" high and 22" long. Hopefully his size can help you decide about this product.

Great addition to my Kurgo belt restraint
I ordered this because I had an issue with the restraint/ tether that came with my Terrier's Kurgo harness- the carabiner does not swivel. Now I LOVE the Kurgo harnesses because of the metal buckles but found that with the included restraint not swiveling, as my Terrier moved around in the back seat of the car, the restraint would get spun into itself. The result of that would be diminished movement for my pup and also made it EXTREMELY difficult for me to undo the restraint at the end of a trip. Now Kurgo does have a swiveling restraint which they call "swivel tether" but at $30 It's not something I wanted to pay for considering this is the type of tether that should come with the harness to begin with. I did some research and found this swiveling restraint from EzyDog for I think $9 and bought it. I am familiar with their products as I have purchased an EzyDog backpack for my pup, I have a review for that backpack as well of you'd like to check it out.The EzyDog addition makes a difference of night and day. My Terrier can now move about freely without worry of the tether wrapping around itself and I no longer have an issue in removing the restraint at the end of a trip--- this $9 was definitely worth it. The combined restraints are maybe 2-3 inches longer than I would like but I'm sure I can find a way to make a adjustment to rectify that. I'll will try to upload a couple of pictures at a later time to show the length of the EzyDog restraint when compared to the size of a normal credit card.

It is REALLY SMALL but looks well made ESP for the Price
I'm not sure about whether we can use it for what I was expecting to use it for on a trip. I was hoping to use it on the airplane just in case there is severe turbulence so my 130 lb Great Dane doesn't turn into a super sized projectile. Can probably still connect her to my seat belt on the plane and use her leash on her harness. Meanwhile, the other models looked too large (to me anyway) JUST IN CASE -- THIS SHOULD E OBVIOUS -- YOU SHOULD NEVER USE THIS TYPE OF RESTRAINT ON A DOG'S COLLAR -- HARNESS ONLY -- IT COULD BE DEADLY IN EVEN A MINOR ACCIDENT AS IT WOULD CHOKE THE DOG! I can see how this very simple, albeit TINY device is a great bargain. Just so much smaller than it looked in the picture (I admit I'm not good at judging sizes from pictures on the internet). Back to the drawing board.

Great stability!
A lot of these are so long that they don't hold onto my dog. He's little (11lbs), so he needs to keep close to the seat. It doesn't pull him down, as it's attached to the middle of the seatbelt, and can slide freely. Definitely sturdy as well.

HAZARD
This deathtrap almost broke my dog’s leg! Literally. I’m trying hard not to use profanity on here. I never heard him scream so loud. His leg was all twisted up. I had to cut the belt. This is the worst seatbelt for dogs EVER. Definitely not for dogs that like to move around. That was such a horrific and traumatizing experience. I wanted to cry. He was in so much pain. I can’t get his screams out of my head, his facial expressions, the image of his leg. It was awful. If I could give less stars I would. There’s nothing safe about this product.

Great option
I normally use the Sleepypod ClickIt seat belt however my two pups are under the weight limit to use those. I have been looking for different options to ensure my pups are safe on the road. I was happy to find these and so far they have been great. Pups are safe and secure while still being comfy. Note: these need to be used with a good harness. I've seen some people put these on collars. A collar will choke and/or kill your pet. The goal is that if you are in an accident and the seat belt gets activated (aka pulling the pet back) that that pressure goes to their chest or gets spread out. You do not want that force on the neck.
