Take your time putting this together and it will turn out great.
The instructions are poor and I read about the challenges people had in having to drill new holes and such to get things to fit right. This is not actually the case...it looks like the bars/slats should be symmetrical but they are not so loosely assemble to make sure everything is going to sign up correctly and you will be good to go. I just got this installed and it looks great and for the price it is hard to beat.

Item not sold or shipped as described
The actual basket is fairly good in quality. It was difficult to put together because some of the parts didn't fit properly. I had to drill extra holes and some of the item to get screws to go where they're supposed to be. Then when I go to mount it onto the truck it doesn't even have the right crossbar rails to mount to the truck. I spent two hours putting together this roof rack and trusted that it was going to fit on my truck and I was very disappointed when it didn't.

Poor directions
The rack portion is nice and light weight. The crossbars are not good. Did not fit my car even though Amazon said fits my car. Would just pay to have a professional on done

Lite weight and simple
I added this to the top of a fiberglass vw bus roof. While the other reviews were negative on the lite duty of this product, I found it to be a positive. The instructions were ok, failed to tell a step and required me to take it half apart. I would say it does it's job for what I paid.

Perfect!
Got this for my 2013 Subaru Impreza, perfect size. Light weight and durable. Perfect for Snowboards, 2 bmx bikes, things under 150lbs that won't fit in your car. Have mounted Led light bars on and under this rack too, wire all fit this rack perfectly too.

it was fine. Being aluminum
You get what you pay for, so I wasn't surprised that there were some quality issues. The 5 aluminum "floor boards" that run the length of the bottom had the holes so far off that there was no way of bolting in to the cross braces. So, I had to drill new holes (in order to connect it to the two cross braces). Once I drilled those new holes, it was fine. Being aluminum, it's light and won't rust. Overall, fit's my needs.

Might be worth it for the price.
The rack system is fairly complicated to assemble. Two of the bar ends that clamp it to the car came with a manufacturing defect that stopped the bar from fitting thru. ( I was able to fix it myself.) I am also not confidant that they will stay in place, but have had no trouble with it moving so far. I received a partial refund because of the defects, so for the price I still think it was worth it.
