hp-eprint capable (read instructions below)
Great printer for the price. When I first plugged it in, the rollers made some noise, but I found out later this was normal for initial start up.It has an ethernet card, so you can connect it to your router with an ethermet cable (Cat 5,6, etc...). This ethetnet connectivity is very helpful since you can simultaneously be on the internet and print to your printer, without having to disconnect from the internet and then connect to Wi-Fi direct. Assuming your phone is on the same wireless router. Also can connect wirelessly to your WiFi router. This allows you to easily print from you phone if your phone is also connected to the WiFi.It also support WiFi direct printing.Additionally you can register the printer with HP through the HP Smart app, and it will assign your printer a unique HP email address. This is known as HP e-print. This allows you to email any document (photos, pdf, emails, etc...) through whatever email service you use by using your unique hp email address and as long as your printer is connected on line, you'll receive your print out. This is a good solution for those who liked the ease of Google Cloud print. As you may know Google discontinued their cloud print service in January of 2021.To set up hp e-print, you'll first need to connect the printer to your router network. Then on your phone connect to the same wireless network... then go to the Hp Smart App and add the printer. Once added, then tap on the printer icon until printer info drops down. Then scroll down to Network Information. Then write down the IP Address. It's 4 sets of numbers with 4 periods between them. Then enter those numbers into your phone's browser. This will take you directly into your printers web page. Then enter the tab that says "HP Web Services ". You'll need to agree to activate the web services. Then you'll need to print out the information sheet which will contain your printers unique "Claim Code". Once you have your printers claim code, go back to HP Smart app and register your printer with the claim code, and then you'll receive your unique hp email address. It's a bunch of numbers and letters followed by "@hpeprint.com".Now you can send any document you want to print from anywhere in the world to your printer. Simply by emailing it to your unique email address..In addition the app gives you an opportunity to change the first part of the email address to something that's more easily remembered (instead of a string of randomly generated numbers and letters)Hope this helps!(If anyone from HP is reading this, please include these instructions in the owners manual)

Print instantly from everywhere with no hassle setup
A/C Power issues ate my $400 inkjet decided I only needed B/W prints since that is how 90% of my prints ended up. After shopping around for a few days settled on HP M203DW, wanted duplex printing (both sides) with WiFi access and TCP/IP Ethernet for the Linux boxes. Was thrilled with the product, setup was painless and printing happens before I can remove my finger from the enter key! High point of a day is having to print something, the only down side of the printer is the light in the power switch, it keeps flashing! it seems they wanted to let you know the printer is on, sometimes, with WiFi active the WiFi light is on.... A piece of tape now covers the power button.UPDATE: My printer was smearing on the right edge so I did what I normally do with a laser printer, removed the cartridge and shake it but the 30A 'Intro' cartridge had nothing to shake! I ordered some 30X cartridges and when they arrived installed one, no more smears.

Simple, functional monochrome printer
There is a lag time of quite a few seconds between hitting the Print key and printer working. Paper sometimes jams if more than half the oaper tray is filled. Ppm not as fast as other printers, but overall adequate for moderate or home use. This is the third one I have owned. They lasted 2-3 years, then made a clunking noise and only half a page printed; however, appears to be no equivalent printer for the price.

There is a reason HP is going downhill
I had a HP 1320 which I retired a while back. I replaced it with a Samsung. But that printer has been less than stellar. And to top it off, it is getting low on toner. So the thought was to replace it with an HP, since the 1320 was a workhorse. The M203dw seemed like it would be a good printer.Reasonable price point. Check.Fast. Check.Wireless. Check.Duplex. Check.Good reviews. Check (though not many).I tried setting this up this evening. The instructions or rather lack of instructions in the box are interesting. I'm in tech, so no biggie. Who reads instructions anyways, right? Their "instructions" indicate to follow the HW setup poster steps 1-3. Step 1 basically is just a picture with the toner cartridge and a big red circle with the slash for no. Umm, okay, I have no idea what that means. They apparently decided to follow the playbook from Ikea on cryptic images. Presumably I'm not supposed to remove it, as the arrow is going out.Now I'm used to having to pull some tab on the toner cartridge, so I thought I'd check to see if such a step was needed. Easy peasy, justpull out the cartridge and have a quick peek. Huh, what? Toner cartridge doesn't come out. After some guesswork, I figured out there are 2 black tabs one must move (it requires a bit of force). This will allow you to then pull out the cartridge. My guess is it is their mechanism to make sure the cartridge doesn't come loose during transit. I looked up toner cartridge replacement in the user guide (which you have to get online ... note I didn't check the CD as my MacBook doesn't have a CD drive) and no mention of those tabs. Just a heads up for when people need to replace the cartridge. So we get by that drill. Now time for some printer goodness right? Turn it on and it makes a gawd awful noise. Like the print feeder is stuck on something. Two lights are blinking (warning light and green light under it). I consult the user manual to see what this craziness is all about. And whilst I'm doing this, after a few minutes, it finally seems to come online. As I am hooked up via USB, I check my Mac and lo and behold, my Mac already identifies it. I think this is now going to be a slam dunk.Or so I thought. I try to set this up wirelessly. For the first few minutes, it cannot find any networks. It then magically turns off. After I restart it, voila networks. One step closer. I then try and log into my network. No dice. No problem, I have another network. Nope. Then, suddenly, the webpage to setup the printer stops responding. Annnnd the unit seems to go to sleep. I turn it back on. Get back to the setup page. Start trying to get back to wireless. And then the webpage stops responding. Rinse and repeat. At this point I figure it's Return City. As I can actually print through USB, I thought it would be a blast to have it print out the return mailing label. Alas, there would be no joy from this as the print queue was stuck on "Connected to printer". Curse you HP.
