A Full Set of Blues Harps for a Good Price
I already had a number of blues harps but this was too good to pass up. Now I have all the keys in a convenient pack. The outer casings are plastic vice metal but they feel and sound just fine.

They’re plastic
Yeah so they are plastic, albeit black plastic with a nice texture finish. Feels nice to play and really they sound fine! Amazing to get so many keys at this low price. A really good value. I just think somebody’s gonna open it up and say oh no, they’re plastic. But It’s OK! They should play fine. Not sure about the longevity of them. Once I figure out which two or three I use more I will likely replace them with Marine Bands. But for now, they’re fine. A good deal.

I Prefer These Over More Expensive Brands
I was quite surprised by these, as they immediately were very pleasant to my ear. I'm a musician and play guitar, flute, keyboard, and sing. Now, I'm not rating these as 5-star based on being a harmonica player, because I'm really not one. But I know what my ears likes and I tend to like instruments with a warm, sweet sound. Other musicians prefer more powerful or clear sounding instruments. Not me. I like something more mellow and these are that. Maybe it's the plastic covers instead of metal but, whatever it is, these are my preference. They're almost soothing. I've tried very expensive German harmonicas but I honestly like these better. They also have wider gaps between the holes than many other, more expensive harmonicas I've tried. This means it's easier to play individual melodic notes on this harmonica, which also is my preference. A lot of harmonica players might prefer to play chords (multiple notes at once) and there are better harmonicas for that. But for me, this works great at picking out melodies, one note at a time.

Poor Quality Harmonicas
If you have any real desire to learn this instrument, don't buy these. Hohner makes some excellent harmonicas, specifically the Special 20 and the Crossover. But this Piedmont Blues model. Yikes! They feel super cheap because of the plastic cover plates and are difficult to play because they badly leak air. You really have to blow or inhale hard into them, specifically with single notes.Imagine trying to blow up a ballon that has a small hole. Possible but much more difficult. And the sound/tone isn't good either. You truly get what you pay for with these. Junk.Reason I didn't give them 1 star is because I do like the case they came in. Currently using it for my higher end harmonicas. If you're looking for a budget friendly harmonica that actually sounds good try either the Fender Blues Deluxe or the East Top 008K.Hope this helps!

Not even close to what's being advertised.
I seldom write negative reviews. I generally don't. I simply return the inferior item and move on. Not this time. I have 2 cased sets of Hohner harmonicas. One cased set is full of Special 20 harmonicas. The other case is filled with Marine Band harmonicas. In my opinion both sets contain outstanding harmonicas that are made well and play well. I'm sure there are other harmonicas that are just as good or better but I've been very happy with my Hohner harmonicas. My choice is based on personal preference and budget.I thought the Piedmont harmonicas had very good reviews. I can't imagine why. They're terrible. The cases are not constructed of highly polished stainless steel, as the advertisementsays. The advertisement also claims they are manufactured in Germany. The box claims they are made in Germany. I find that claim hard to believe. The Piedmont Blues harmonicas are made of some sort of plastic that has a weird feeling on the lips and tongue. The air loss is terrible. The reeds are terrible as well. The Piedmont Blues harmonicas, in a set, are not up to Hohner standards. They are inexpensive. The case is nice. My advice is to, forget the Piedmont harmonicas, save up a bit more money and invest in better grades of Hohner harmonicas. The Hohner Special 20's are really good harmonicas. So are the well built Marine Band sets.Sorry for the negative feedback but it's a pain in the neck to go through the return process because of inaccurate advertising.Regards.

Very good!
I’m not a great harp player, but they’re fun to play. Very nice set!

Not a toy, but probably great for beginners only
Harder to slide through notes because Plastic surface is not as smooth as Metal ones. I have a metal C Harp and a Chromatic one too, bought this to complement my Guitar while playing songs in other keys. Didn't want to spend a lot, so worth the buck!
