The Ultimate Scholarship Book 2023: Billions of Dollars in Scholarships, Grants and Prizes 15th Edition

I picked this up for my college bound kids and it's a great resource. There are many scholarships which weren't listed on the online sights, and they are pretty well organized with several sorting glossaries in the back to help out. The listings are easy to read and flip through, and the basic information is there. I'm glad we picked it up.

This is a great book if you are searching for scholarships for college. I bought this after a friend recommended it to me. I was surprised at how any scholarships are in this book! There are many opportunities to cut the cost of college if you have a student who is willing to apply for some of the listed scholarships. I wish I had ordered this book sooner as some of the deadlines had already passed, but it is still a bargain. It has definitely been the best scholarship search tool that daughter has used to seek out help in reducing her college costs.

Initial chapters provide the basics on searching for scholarships and prepping for the college application process. Essay writing included (recommend the book On Writing the College Application Essay by Bauld for a more entertaining read). The scholarship sections are huge with both detailed listings (by state, by career interest, area of study, gender, etc) and general scholarships. In some sections, I was disappointed to find very few matches for our situation, while other sections listed more options. Some redundancy. Although there is a lot of info online, the codes provided in this book help to find updates about the given scholarships. Looking online can easily lead down the rabbit hole but this more organized approach is working better for us. If we get just one small scholarship, the book will have paid for itself. Time consuming, but we hope will be worth it.

This book is a treasure because it has more than 2000 scholarships classified by general awards, career, state of residence, membership, ethnicity, race, family situation, etc. Also, the book gives tips on how to write a good essay and resume, where to find the best scholarships, how to get a great letter of recommendation, Do's and Don'ts for scholarship application.

Hav bn able to identify many scholarships because of this book. It is nice and very useable, I spent hours online trying to find scholarships that fit my criteria but was able to find much more thanks to this book in a short amount of time. Hence I would strongly recommend that you buy this book if you are a student or parent looking to find scholarships.

The only comment I have on this book is that the writing is too small. You can barely see the writing. I have to use a magnifying glass to use it. Disappointing.

Very nice book that will last me forever. Has provided me great scholarship websites as well as more specific scholarships that I can win. I share it with my roommates as well. It has tons of information so you won't need to buy another book or program that some people may offer.

Because there are so many scholarships listed, it can be timeconsuming to identify ones that are right for your student.This is the 2nd edition we bought for the younger kids and found that many listings no longer exist or the details are simply wrong.It is inspirational and aspirational. Even with great entries and highly qualified students, we did not break even on the book purchase.Use it as a tool for how to write essays, organize pursuit, and be inspired.
