I read about using ginseng to help with ADHD symptoms on the ADDitude website, where they mentioned this brand's site as being reputable and effective. I perused their site but was leery of ordering from a site I'd never heard of so I, as usual, came to Amazon.Lo and behold, this exact same item was available here but I was still skeptical. You often hear about counterfeits on here so I decided to call the company directly to double check that this was actually their product. First of all, the call recording offered to connect you to someone in English or in Chinese, which was a good sign. Shortly thereafter I spoke to someone (in English) who was happy to double check Amazon to make sure this was their listing. She had me check the site at the same time so we could verify we were speaking of the same item, which I thought was great, and was able to quickly verify that it was their product. Excellent customer service, thank you.Now on to my review of the ginseng capsules:On first opening the bottle, I noticed that the pills smelled just as I was hoping aka a nice strong but not overpowering ginseng smell. The capsules are on the large side but are easily swallowed. I've been taking them for about a month now and have found that they work really well. I noticed increased well being and energy about 20 minutes after I first took them, and have continued to feel the same effects, though not quite as strongly.I still have some left but will be repurchasing shortly so as not to run out inadvertently.

My doctor recommended these to help with some focus issues. I did not notice any difference but that is not a reflection of the product. One element I did like is there is no smell or taste that other brands have.

Not as effective as advertised

Before I started taking ginseng, I would wake up after a full night's rest but not feel rested. I was groggy and tired. Now I take ginseng before bed and wake up ready for the day, I get out of bed when the alarm goes off and get to it instead of burying my head under the pillow. I have heard it's also great for jet lag. Would highly recommend trying it!

It's made by Hsu, I also met the staff at the Int'l Ginseng Festival - one can tell the energy behind the company and these are very good people. Its ironic that American high quality ginseng is readily available but the mainstream way (even in WI!) is to buy the foreign crap at GNC

This particular brand was recommended by my wife's doctor and so far we are really pleased with the results.
