PDP Rock Band Rivals Wireless Fender Jaguar Bundle for PlayStation 4

I ordered this... super easy to install and setup...But I pre-ordered; and I don't have instructions how to claim the bonus tracks as part of my pre-order. Harmonix / PDP? Want to help me out here?(Problem Solved - read more)Edit: I was emailed the codes I needed to get a number of songs. They show as "purchased" in my store, but they will not download into my library. I am sure it will get resolved... but for now, it is not working. I even got a message "can not download" from my PS4. That said, my kids love rocking out, and the songs are fun. I am upgrading my 4 start to a 5 star rating on faith that the song download issue will resolve itself. I do (after all) see that the promo codes have credited me the songs.Edit More: I found a way to do it... once the codes are entered, look up in the PSN Store "Rock Band Rivals Launch Pack." If the codes were put in correctly, the "purcahse" option should be replaced with "download." I selected the download option, and it did not take very long at all to get the songs. Codes that gave me 3AM and one other song (sorry, I can't remember what it was) also needed to be downloaded separately. This fix worked easy. Hope this helps others like me.

At the price ($50 on a pre-Christmas sale) I couldn't not get this bundle, but even at its full price it's kinda worth it if you're looking to get back into Rock Band, and don't want/need the drums. The only complaint about the guitar is that you have to use the Directional Pad to activate your "power" bar, as the gyros leave you flailing the neck around like a chimpanzee on LSD.Mine came with a coupon for a free microphone which was a nice touch. Game itself of course comes with Rock Band 4 and the Rivals expansion, so altogether I definitely got more than my money's worth. I'm not a crazy hardcore RB fanatic like I was in college, but it's still been a blast to revisit the series.

First of all, one star was removed specifically because Amazon will not allow me to provide a photo of the guitar. Second of all, the buttons seem to not be working 100% properly. Sometimes I'll hit the buttons and they won't hit the notes even though I'm perfectly on beat, and I'm an expert player so just saying, I think I'd know if it's working or not. Worst part is the guitar randomly disconnects from the Playstation in the middle of songs even though I'm literally currently using it, and the batteries are fully charged, so I have to restart the song over again every time this happens and it really sucks. What if I'm trying for gold stars and I have to restart with a perfect score because it made me miss 25 notes when it disconnected for no reason? Like why is it doing this? I can't stand it. I feel like for over $600 this guitar should be functioning PERFECTLY. It's ridiculous, it's a fake guitar made out of plastic with freaking buttons why is it so much money and it can't even work perfectly? Kind of mad. Otherwise the game is fun and I've missed rock band so I'm glad to have it back in my life and the guitar certainly works better than the previous rock band guitars made for PS3 but that's because they weren't making anymore and there were only old used ones available for resale. Otherwise it's practically the exact same as the previous guitar, only this one is Bluetooth and $520+ more. The worst part about this game is the graphics look great but there's almost no customization options. I already bought everything I wanted on day 4 because it doesn't take a lot of money or effort to unlock the items... I wanted it to be a bit more challenging, like rock band 2. They added in some cool features in this one though, like if you're playing tour with friends you can switch up the difficulty anytime and continue the tour with them if they play on a different difficulty from you. You don't have to restart or replay the tour to include them, or wait until the next tour which is pretty cool. There's also a lot more things aside from the tour, but I haven't tried them yet honestly. I don't have enough internet currently to see if I can download my rock band 2 and rock band 3 songs, but it better let me because I'm logged into the same account that I used for my PS3. I'm excited to get enough internet to try an online battle but am worried that no one is playing online rock band anymore. I'll come back to update my review when I can try out the other features. Basically if you like rock band I think it's definately worth it but don't expect perfection even though it's super pricey and should be perfect. It's fun but a little frustrating when it's not working properly.

Bundle arrived when it was supposed to, although amazon bungled the pre order bonus songs (eventually resolved). The guitar feels and plays well. No issues with it right out of the box. The only downside to the guitar, is that it shows finger prints very noticeably. Just putting batteries in and turning on left prints all over it. Its a nice looking guitar though, and I have only positive feedback about the look and functionality. PDP did the guitars well. Also came with a code for a free microphone.

This guitar is way better than the Mad Catz guitar. I have used both for a couple months now, and I consistently find myself grabbing the Jaguar first. It doesn't have the whammy bar switch that gets in my way like the Mad Catz guitar. I have not experienced any signal drops like other users. Another reviewer pointed out that the guitar doesn't seem to register long strings of the same consecutive notes very well. I have experienced this as well, but I can't be sure if that is due to my mediocre playing ability or an actual fault in the guitar. Overall, I think it's an improvement on the original RB4 guitar. I can't wait to see version 2.

Game works fine, fun and all. BUT, I give this a 1 star because you can buy the SAME EXACT bundle at Gamestop for $40. SERIOUSLY? I could of used that $24 on more songs to buy. Complete rip off.
