Updated review: These are one of my favorite things about my porch in the warmer months. I use them on white umbrellas and flip them upside down so they create a really cool ambient lighting effect. Our guests always rave about the cool porch we have setup.These have also been left out for the last 3 years as well. in the winter they umbrellas are folded up with these inside them, and there has never been an issue. They continue to charge and work for hours.Previous Review:Have only had these a couple of days but so far they are great. I got 2 of them. They are much brighter than the previous umbrella lights I had which were not rechargeable and did not have colors or fading effects. These provide useful light and great ambience.I took them out of box and charged them right away. The initial charge took around 6 hours. So far they have been in use for about an hour and a half total and no loss of brightness. I love the rechargeable feature.The build quality seems pretty decent. One of them fell off the umbrella onto concrete and was fine. Probably not waterproof, but if you keep them up high on the umbrella pole and fully protected by the umbrella fabric, they'll probably be fine.I like that it has a nice smooth fade between colors. I flipped mine over to shine up into the umbrella after seeing another person mention that, and it really is a cool effect. Also, with my bright white umbrellas, they reflect the light well.

Revised review based upon replacement item:I received a replacement Color Umbrella Light from Amazon. This time, the light functioned exactly as designed: the charging light on the unit flashes red/green just as it should , the "fade"/"jump" features work exactly as advertised, all the remote control buttons operate perfectly. I've got to say that all through the inconvenience of receiving a DOA unit, returning it (hopefully) for one that will work and waiting for the replacement the seller TINTINDOC has/is been extremely supportive. Nearly daily communications between the seller and me kept both of us advised on the replacement Umbrella Light's status. When it was obvious that UPS was NOT going to able to deliver the Umbrella Light in a timely manner, the seller TINTINDOC offered to send me a replacement light - - ON THEIR DIME. I declined their gracious offer, but they sent a new Umbrella Light anyway. As luck would have it, I received the Amazon replacement light the same day TINTINDOC sent the light from their stock. I thanked them profusely as few sellers would go the "extra mile" like TINTINDOC did.Original Review:Unit would only run on AA batteries! Tried plugging it into 5v recharger -- after 12 hours of charging, indicator light was still RED. And, the remote control was DOA.! I replaced the CR2025 battery - - but, NO DEAL - - DEAD!. I returned it to Amazon.

Unique umbrella light! Easy to hook around umbrella pole and love that you can choose one color or let it rotate several different colors. Versatile because you can have it face up to light up inside of umbrella, or face down to light up glass table. Lights are soft and colors are more pastel, so not overwhelming. Can charge it or use batteries.Definitely recommend product!

This is a very nice light. I haven't had it long, so hopefully it stands up in the weather and use. Because this will have to be clipped and unclipped every time I open and close the umbrella, hopefully it will stand the test of time.The light has a lot of great options. I really was only looking for a light that had different light level modes, this has that, plus you can change the color. Not sure I will use this feature much, but it may be fun once in a while.In the few times I have used this, the light levels have been perfect, just what I needed them to be.

The media could not be loaded. The hubby and I love to watch movies in the summer on our outdoor movie projector screen. We were looking for ambient light that was not too obnoxiously bright. This little light works great! Also has a setting for brighter light if you actually want to use it for for practical lighting purposes. Just unboxed it, so can’t speak to its sturdiness, but will update my review at the end of summer. Really hope that this light goes the distance. Love the recharging and battery function. So practical and convenient!
