Really Impressed So Far
EDIT: FYI, this refurb does not come with wifi antennas installed. So, you can't buy a WLAN card to install it. Also, apparently HP EliteDesks that don't come with wifi antennas installed don't have the proper holes/slots cut into the cases to do-it-yourself. I bought the wifi antennas for the G3, cracked it open, and the spots where the antenna blocks should anchor to don't have the proper holes/slots for fitment. The mobo also seems to be glued down to the case. I removed all screws, heat-sink, cpu, etc, etc.. barebones mobo, should have popped out easily, but was stuck as if another screw was holding it in. There wasn't (made sure). So, seems like HP or the person that owned this before refurb got it glued the mobo down. (I can't imagine the refurber would do this. It makes no sense from a refurb stand-point. Hence I think HP did it.) So, this is just a heads-up. You still have plenty of WIFI options. Again, refurber sends it with a WIFI USB Dongle, and n-type I think, so you already get that. But, if you wanted faster wifi, you can buy higher-end 802.11ax type USB dongle. I'm STILL very impressed by this mini pc, how clean it was, and how upgradeable it is (I put a NVME drive into it, and moved my Windows 10 boot to it from the SSD, and now use the SSD for a D:). It's a fun, quiet little daily driver!~~~~~~~~I've been VERY impressed by this computer AND this seller so far.I got this HP Elitebook 800 to use as a daily driver, so I won't have to boot up & listen to the power-hungry gaming rig sounding like a fan in my room. Saw vids on HP Elitebooks 800 minis, and fell in love with how small they were, but also how upgradeable they were (NVME slot, internal wifi slot). After watching vids and reading reviews on various ones, it seemed like buying refurbs was a mixed bag; never know if you're gonna get something decent, or a dust bunny farm missing parts. So, I was prepared for the worst. But, this Seller seems to have gone above and beyond. Either I lucked out with a very immaculate, looks-brand-new refurb, or they went the extra mile to clean it up. I'm thinking the latter, b/c these little pc's tend to be shoved in behind monitors at call centers and what-not collecting dust bunnies all day until they're handed off to a pc refurb company or something. The inside and out were pretty much immaculately clean. I didn't even see any dust on the fans! And there was fresh thermal paste on the cpu! FRESH THERMAL PASTE! I mean.. holy cow! Also, I was just expecting the pc. But, they sent peripherals, too! (A wired keyboard, wired mouse, and wifi usb adapter).Plugged it in, booted... Windows 10 Pro was a brand new install walking through first time setup. So, it's not like they just deleted some files from the previous owner, and called it a day. No, it's a fresh install! If you're not into computers, and just want a no-brainer, small, quiet, book-sized pc you can buy for an inexpensive price that pretty much has everything you need to get going (save for a monitor.. and maybe a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter), then this is the one for you! Buy it. Hook it up. Boot it up. Windows gets going. Within 5-10 minutes you're surfing the web while Windows Update is rolling stuff in. Reboot, and you're good to go.If you ARE into computers, then this thing is a fantastic addition to your collection to use as a daily driver, small server or whatever else you want to try with it. The i5 + 16GB ram has enough horse power out-of-the-box to do most daily driver stuff and then some. (I installed Oracle database servers on less hardware than this when doing cert training.)Cracking the thing open to see what it came with...There's a Pioneer SSD, made in china. That's so-so. But, it looks brand new. This is a $100 mini refurb pc. I'm not expecting the seller to chuck a Samsung or something in there. The fact the SSD looks brand new is comforting, b/c you don't want to worry about how old the storage media is.It has NVME & wifi adapter slots, but nothing installed in them. Mine came with a USB wifi adapter. I'll probably salvage an NVME stick and internal wifi chip from some computers I have. That's what makes this little pc fun; you can upgrade it. Slap an NVME in, and reinstall Windows to it, then slap a bigger SSD in (or a massive laptop HDD) and you have a fantastic HTPC.One complaint folks had on vids and reviews for other HP Elitebooks was the drives didn't have their little rubber vibration pads. Mine came with them, but they seemed to be after-market. It was difficult sliding the SSD back into place without feeling like I might break something. But, it finally went back into place. Again, the seller went the extra mile to ensure the refurb even had the rubber drive vibration boots... so kudos to them!Mine came with 1 x 16GB made-in-china RAM. Again I'm not expecting "leet gamer" parts here. It's a daily driver mini pc. There's 2 slots for RAM, so I can chuck more in. But, 16GB so far is plenty for daily driver tasks. The one downside is the Integrated Intel 630 graphics. This is not going to be a gaming rig unless you do like some odd youtubers have done where you hook a graphics card adapter up to the internal wifi slot, and hook the mini pc up to an external graphics card dock. I've seen vids where folks have done it, and they benchmark various games with pretty decent performance. But, I mean.. at that point, just build a separate gaming PC.The gaming I was going to do on this was old-school 90's maybe 00's games (EG: Thief Dark Project, System Shock 2). Was gonna run some old-school game emulators on it. This thing has plenty of horse power, and the 630 gfx will be fine running that.I view this PC as a compliment to the other PC's I have in my work office, each one having their specialty & use. And, so far this has been a pretty fantastic purchase and purchasing experience.

Great little machine
My company recently upgraded their minimum system requirements, which rendered my 3rd generation I-5, 4 GB, work horse basically ineffective .To research desktops to meet their very specific requirements was the first challenge in itself, being minimally tech savvy.Though my company has very specific system requirements outlined to fulfill, many sellers on the marketplace leave out these specifities when they are selling their wares. It wasn't the first time that I bought a A system that I thought had everything covered, just to bring it home and it epically failed the tech test at my company.Accommodating their new system requirements has been VERY challenging to say the least. Especially when operating on a budget. However, this little system happened to have all the bases covered in what I needed to maintain productivity with my company. I also gained a little edumacation in the process!I do know that as fast as they keep upgrading the minimum requirements every 6 months to every year, I will need an upgrade again soon. Their minimum requirement was I-5 7000 and 12 MB. I'm barely cutting just above that , with this system. Finally. The affordability of these refurbished systems do allow this to not be an ultimate nightmare, until I can afford a more aggressive system that will exceed minimum specs for many years to come. However, finding the right seller that is going to provide all the in-depth descriptions of their systems that a home based professional like me need, is often the ultimate challenge.Kudos to this system for passing that tech test. I have purchased 4 failures in the past year and I'm not really unintelligent when it comes to systems and at least reading what they say they have available.

Extremely dirty... but good customer service
This is not my first renewed PC but defitely is the dirtiest I ever set up. The fan was clogged with dust and needed extensive cleaning. The rest on the internals were also dusty but to a much lesser measure. On the plus side, the PC has 3 DP connectors. On a side note, it shippped from Ontario, Canada with UPS.I would have given 5 stars save for the dirtiness....Sure enough, with the dust accumulated in the fan, the bearing had taken a hit and were letting it known. The PC was exchanged with no problem and the second one was very clean and barely needed any air to finish it up. Very happy in the end and they deserve the 5 stars.

Handy and capable.
I used it to flash StartOS and run a Bitcoin node. Decided that I wanted a little more computer than a Raspberry Pi. This gets the job done at a great price point and has compute to spare. I did need to buy a 2TB 2.5" SSD to upgrade the storage though.
