A good gimmick. Does not work in Southern Hemisphere and not too good near the equator. Really probably only works in northern hemisphere near UK latitudes.

Should of just left it unpainted with a polish finish since the paint peels off anyway. The etching is enough to see what you need and looks good. Easy to use and works like it says.

Is nice, but engravings are already wearing off.

I got lucky this ring comes in a size 10. I only wear rings on my "ring finger", and this is the size of my right hand ring finger. It is too bad there are only four sizes available. They should make more sizes.I used a common sense method to calibrate this ring. I dialed the hole in the inner part of the ring to the appropriate part of the calendar, and then let the sun shine through it onto the time pips inside the ring. Then I rotated the whole ring until the sun dot aligned with the time on my wristwatch. This told me which of the three latitude lines was the right one for me to use in the future.Since I calibrated this about midway through August, I dialed the hole to be midway between August and September.This is a gadget which does not need batteries or a subscription or a Bluetooth connection. This is old school stuff which is powered by the ancient and awesome physics of the Universe. It just doesn't get any cooler than that.
