Flaky
I went against my better judgement in buying this given that it only had one review. Looks like I should have gone with my gut. Where do I start, let's just hit the low notes. Keyboard compatibility - I am using a Dell keyboard and the audio keys do not work which is a pain when trying to adjust volume on a Teams meeting. The one review had said to plug the keyboard into one of the USBs...well then why have a keyboard and a mouse port. Besides I need to have two USB ports to switch. For some reason the audio on one laptop will stop when I switch and the speakers are not going through the KVM. I thought the little remote would be handy but I have to push it many times and in different direction before it switches. The external IR made no difference so it is probably an issue with the remote.I had major issues this morning trying to get the one laptop to respond to the keyboard. I rebooted it and used the reset button on the KVM. It took 3 reboots and 2 resets to get it to respond. This is Window 10 so not putting 100% blame on the KVM but it was definitely a factor. For the the final kicker, I was typing an email and the damn thing switched over to the other laptop. Support may say I somehow hit the key stroke to switch but I doubt it. Again they will suggest using one of the 2 USB ports since they cannot turn of the mouse and keyboard switch stroke. It has potential as displays look good but has too many quirks for me to keep using it. Wait for a Gen 2.

Doesn't recognize my keyboard until after Windows login, so virtually useless
Strictly for switching between computers, this worked fine. However, it wouldn't recognize my Das Keyboard 4 at boot, and so if I rebooted my laptop with external monitors, etc. I'd have to pull it out from behind my desk just to log in to Windows. After that, the keyboard worked fine until I needed to restart. The whole point was to be able to stow the laptop out of the way, so this was useless. Maybe it would work with a different keyboard (e.g. one without a USB hub), but I'm not giving up my expensive keyboard just to be able to use a cheap KVM switch.

The ports started failing day one
Thought this more expensive option was going to be a great time saver for flipping back and forth between personal and work machines, but day one the mouse port failed, then the keyboard stoped recognizing at all regardless of the port the switch was keyed to, then finally today I got to my desk and it would not recognize either monitor unless only one was plugged in, thus defeating the purpose of a dual monitor set up. Sending back.
