Used for casting small projects - works perfectly
I've been casting with epoxy resin for a few months now. After looking for cheaper alternatives to Ice resin, I found Alumilite Amazing Clear Resin. Alumilite resin, while cheaper, does have a very slight yellow-ish cast. You won't even notice it unless you had it next to another identical piece cast in another kind of resin.I came across this seller/brand and figured for the price, I'd give it a try. I only do small castings (1oz. or less at a time), so I needed to make sure this would work. Based on the description here and on their website, it seemed it would work for my projects (which include magnets, ornaments and buttons).Instructions were found on their website, as well as included with the product. It's mixed just like Ice and Alumilite - stir for 2-3 mins. with flat stick, scraping the sides. I don't agree with their instructions to "mix vigorously", as that creates more air bubbles. So, mix slowly. Then, let it sit for 3-5 mins. so some of the air bubbles rise and pop.It pours nicely and can be de-molded in 24 hours. It's rock hard in 48 hours. It's very clear and I prefer it over Alumilite. I will continue to use this brand as it's worked out very well for me! The only downside is that since I do such small pours, I had to put it in a different container that had a small opening for pouring.Cost per oz. (including shipping) as of this writing is $1.12/oz. Check out the seller's website for cheaper pricing and larger sizes.

Nice Starter Set of Epoxy
Even though I have done quite a bit of woodworking, I am new to the "Epoxy" trend. I wanted to start small and not invest hundreds of dollars to try it out. This combination is working very well for me. Easy to mix and pour. The working time is about 30 mins and the outgassing time seems good. Using a hot air gun, I was able to eliminate any bubbles that were building up in the pour. The color is very clear and I am very pleased with this purchase.

Easy for a first-timer
I made a rustic farmhouse table (i.e., all the mistakes I made added to the rustic-ness) and this was the first time I used any table top epoxy. I watched a few YouTube videos to get the technique down, and then started.I was very careful to level the table before pouring. And, since I was flooding the top, epoxy did flood over the sides. Protect your floor, and protect table legs and the like. It's very important to carefully measure the right about of Part A and Part B. I bought a couple of cheap mixing jugs from a paint store. I also mixed slowly and for twice as long as the directions called for. (Oh, actually, no directions came with these jugs. This is a product that either expects you to know what to do, or for you to watch videos.)I was nervous that the product would harden too quickly but that was not the case. I had plenty of time to spread around the epoxy. I used my hand (wearing a rubber glove) and gently spread out the epoxy. They say the epoxy is self-leveling, but not really. I did get some shallow areas and ripples, that were taken care of by additional layers, I put on a total of 5 layers, and the result was just beautiful.Oh, the air bubbles. Since this was my first time, I was prepared for bubbles with a propane hand torch. I must have gone over the table six to eight times for each layer, heating the bubbles until they popped. In my case, however, I was using reclaimed wood that had nail holes and wormholes, so there were a lot of places for air to be trapped. I still had bubbles appear hours later. I can't say if this product had more or fewer bubbles than other products, but I did like the price and the results.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
I love it. I'm preserving priceless objects into several deep pour projects. So I was hesitant about this product bc of the price at the quantity. I tried it, bc I'm a starving artist and it's by far the most reasonable. I'm A FAN. I WILL BE USING THIS GOING FORTH. STIR UNTIL NO BUBBLES, LET SIT AND YOU'RE GOOD TO POUR. IT HARDEN 3X FASTER THAN THE MORE EXPENSIVE EPOXY RESIN. BUY IT. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. STIR AND LET SIT UNTIL HOT. DONT GET ON SKIN. POUR OUTSIDE. HOPE THEY DONT RAISE THE PRICE BEFORE I CAN FINISH MY PROJECTS.

Exactly what I was looking for, but had trouble ...
Exactly what I was looking for, but had trouble with it curing. Probably didn't get it mixed well. My fault. I haven't tried it again , am waiting for the consistent 80 degree weather it needs to cure instead of using a heat gun. Very clear and thick and deep look.

Kinda dangerous, unless you like cancer
I didnt notice how toxic it was when ordering. Wanted to use in a waterfall basin, that could hold a few fish. Nope, not with this stuff. Also starting to see quite a bit of rust forming under the epoxy. The kit was supposed to have a tinting agent in with the kut, but, then again, nope. Why ask what color you want, if they arent going to provide it? I needed to get the project done, so i couldnt wait for them to ship the color. Evidently, the stuff gives off toxic stuff contiually over time, so if i want to put fish in there, i'll have to put another product over this, so the fish can survive. Waste if time for me
