A bolt extractor that works!
Had a buggered up, hard to reach bolt that had started to round off (it still had some edges). Had to hammer this on (5/16" head on the bolt) because it was a tight fit. But after that, it gripped fine and removed the bolt with ease. The bolt is stuck in this thing now, and that's how it will stay until I need it again. For the price, it could be a disposable tool.

Worked first try.
Honestly, a full set of these would save you hours if you come up against damaged heads enough.

total junk, does not work at all
Bought this to remove a stubborn 10mm nut from the positive battery terminal of a Kia Soul. It's 10mm. Look it up. There is zero doubts about its size. The extractor does not BEGIN to go onto the nut. It's too small, and too small to even try to round into the nut.Complete fail. I dug out an old Craftsmen 10mm socket that I had long forgot about, and it remove the stubborn Kia 10mm nut easily.TOTAL FAIL. COMPLETE PASS. WASTE OF TIME. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Saved me $170!
Shop wanted $170 to extract rounded differential plug and refill with gear oil. I got this and and had it out in under a minute and finished the job in 15 minutes at home. Well worth it!

Got the job done for me
I’m trying to remove an intake manifold so I can overhaul the engine in our Ford Transit. This bolt was stuck in the intake manifold of the 3.5L Ecoboost, a pretty poor design because the bolts sit in depressions where water can collect and heat from the engine will stew the fasteners. The head of this bolt had rusted so much that the 8mm tool was too big so I ordered the 7mm. I also bought the RocketSocket set — its 7mm slipped in this situation. I’m glad I have both — options are nice in situations like this.

Its ok.
The nut grabbed and extracted the bolt, but the shaft snapped rather easily.

Saved my a** with a stripped oxygen sensor
I usually don't write reviews but this thing saved my a** the other day so I thought it deserved one. Tried using an O2 sensor socket but even that stripped out the sensor on my car.I also usually wouldn't spend 25 bucks on something like this but I figured I'd give it a shot and it probably ended up saving me an hour or two of aggravation and cursing. Worked like a charm the first shot.I had to file the rounded off parts on the sensor first and then I tapped it on with a hammer (block of wood in between to dampen the vibrations). It didn't go on all the way but that was all it needed. This thing really bites.Highly recommend these for stripped nuts and bolts.
