Gneiss Spice Stainless Finish Wall Plate Base for Magnetic Spice Jars, Small 6x8 Inches (Jars Not Included)

Was renovating my small condo kitchenette and had ugly drill hole and glue residue on melamine cupboards (see third pic)). Could have sanded, primed, and painted it or bought new cupboards ($$$).Instead bought Gniess magnetic plate in exact size to cover it for under $15 delivered (within 2 days!), 4 x M4 10mm screws (and couple strips hanging tape) to make a new sturdy, great looking, magnetic shelf utility rack.Looks AMAZING... plate had protective film on both sides (and rounded corners and predrilled holes in corners) and well packaged so came out PERFECT (size was exact). Cost next to nothing and waaaay cheaper and easier than replacing or repainting kitchen cupboards.Great customer service and perfect product (magnetic holds on STRONG). Amazing. Thank you. Seriously best, useful, super-easiest home-reno upgrade I ever did. Best product ever.

I absolutely LOVE the functionality and how it looks. It's beautiful. The only issue I had was I spent over $200 getting it set up, which seemed a bit steep for a spice rack. The only other issue is IF the containers aren't closed, spices go everywhere. Pretty easy fix, make sure the containers are closed. I get a ton of compliments from everyone and it definitely saved a ton of space. I don't have cabinet or counter space which made finding a solution challenging, but this one definitely fit the bill. Highly recommend, even though it's a bit spendy.

The rustic rack is perfect in our RV. It would also be fabulous in any kitchen! But I love it in our RV. Not only does it save space by being able to hold our beautiful spice jars from Gneiss, but the rust/rustic coloring just looks so elegant as well as strong next to the various spice colors. Everyone who has come into our kitchen raves about the beauty and smartness of the entire setup. I strongly recommend this for space saving and esthetic beauty as well as the Gneiss Glass magnetic Spice jars.

There are many positive aspects to this item. It is a substantial piece, it is a one of a kind piece of "art", the magnetic spice jars hold very tight. Now, I almost returned it...why? Well, first, it is smaller than I thought it would be (yes, I read the dimensions). It just appears larger in photos online, but is the exact dimensions that Gneiss Spice states that it is, so they are selling you exactly what is stated. Now, the most bothersome aspect to me, may sound like nothing to others, but we are all different. I specifically ordered the "rusted" finish, because I hate the look of shiny stainless steel. The "rusted" pieces are left out in the Maine weather to age for 6 months...each one will be different. All the photos I saw online were heavy rusted, mottled, aged, etc. The one I received has beautiful impressions of where pine needles had been...STUNNING! The only thing that bothers me, is that there was quite a bit of the original stainless still showing, and I really did not like that at all. The shiny stainless just isn't my taste, and I feel it cheapens the look of the "rusted" finish. I started a return, but ultimately canceled it, because the piece is so unique, and the jars (sold separately) are so beautiful and functional on it. Do I wish you could somehow be able to choose your "rusted" plate yourself? Yes, I do, but that is not feasible, and I understand. I now have this plate, and 2 sets if jars from Gneiss Spice. I love the products and the company.

I hung this up using command strips so I didn't have to damage my walls. I have it filled with the magnetic jars and it's perfect. It gives my kitchen the aesthetic I like while securely fastening my spices out of cupboards or on top of the counters. I've had no issues with items staying stuck or sliding off. Great product for a minimalist/organized kitchen.

I guess I didn't read the fine print. This item is just the 6x8 piece of metal--cripes, I have dozens of pieces of metal in my shop that I could have drilled a few holes in. I thought for $25 I was buying 6 or so little bottles for spices.

It's a pretty simple product. Stated dimensions are accurate. Magnetic grade steel. This fit perfectly in the recess on the back side of my spice cabinet door. That panel is so thin that it was impractical to use screws. I chose to use super glue. Just draw some squiggles on the back side of the plate (make sure you're using the right side!) and set it on the cabinet door. Easiest to do this by removing door. Place a bunch of cans on it overnight just for good measure and you're all set to put the door back on. Now get yourself some magnets and tins and you're all set! Keep in mind that depending on your magnets and tins, you may have interference with your cabinet shelves when you close the door. If you're handy just modify the shelf, otherwise just transfer lines to the plate that indicate the no-go area(s) where the shelf is.Oh, and I didn't have any issues, so I didn't need to, but the customer service at Gneiss seems to be very easy to contact if needed!

The containers are nice, lots of labels. The magnets stay strong. Downside is some of them are hard to twist when filled. All in all they are a good bargin and I have recommended them to friends looking for this type of spice storage.
