Use this saw correctly and you will love it.
I bought this saw back in June 2020 and on my second use when trying to cut thick softwood (a timber joist) the chainsaw part of the blade broke.I contacted Bosch and told them what had happened and returned the saw to Amazon for a refund (Amazon were their usual excellent self with a no quibble return and refund). To their credit Bosch explained that they had a longer saw bloade for deeper cuts. The blade (part number - 2 609 256 D86) is a longer blade than the standard blade and as such is better suited to these deeper cuts.SO when my next project came along (Dec 2020) I ordered another of these saws and the longer blade.I was using 18 and 12mm MDF sheets. The saw was absolutely perfect for this task and the cuts were easy to do. The cuts were straight, clean and the edges were also perfectly square. So my advice is to get this saw into your toolbox if you are ever cutting sheet material. In my opinion that is where it comes into it's own and makes the job a joy to do.For that I totally recommend this saw.

Very cool machine
Amazing that nobody has developed a product like this before. I needed to cut a door, and then a smaller door within it, in some existing panelling. I was creating a place for a litter box under stairs, and needed both a large door to be able to access / change the litter box, and a smaller door for our cat to regularly use it. I had considered jigsaws and reciprocating saws and then found this. It is really easy to use and precise. I wondered whether the 'plunge' capability would work. Having had to drill holes in order allow jigsaw access in the past, the plunge capability would be a huge aesthetic plus, and also make easier work of the project. It works perfectly. There are two things that Bosch can work on for the next version, to make this even better: first, if the base plate could adjust to be flat on the surface while plunging, it would make it easier to line up such a cut. Second, ideally this product would allow the blade to be in two positions, eg 'down' and 'out front', basically combining the EasyCut 12 and EasyCut 50 into one. But, as it is now, this is a great device.

Cool idea bad exicution. DO NOT BUY
Soo... Started trying to use it to cut laminate floor. It's not going well. It's very slow at cutting it and massive heating problems. Wouldn't recommend.Edit: now that I had to make a longer cut.. I am absolutely livid.Edit 2: Bosch doesn't care that blade breaks in 10mins of use. DO NOT BUY

Novelty tool that doesn't deliver
I bought this as I thought it would be so much better than a jigsaw. How wrong I was. I used it to cut 7mm thick laminate flooring. First two rows it cut fine with good results. Then it got harder to cut, the blade was turning off colour from heat. I kept cleaning the dust out,but it made no difference at all. In the end, I was having to put my whole weight behind it to get it to cut very slowly. It scorched the wood and smoked through friction burning. After two rows it was blunt and useless. I even used a second blade, same results.Nice idea, but unless you're just using it for cutting balsa wood or fruit, I wouldn't bother. Bosch should withdraw them all.Easy to use and accurate, but that doesn't save it.

Waste of money
Now on a replacement after first one melted. On the replacement blade broke on first use. Not cutting anything that Bosch haven't used as an example in their marketing. Avoid.
