The hat it comes with is a very soft like cotton but the swaddle itself if just the standard muslin blanket (not very soft but I wasn’t expecting it to be) the colors are really nice, it’s super cute and exactly as shown. It came with both an English and French name tag. I would recommend

The hat was really large for a "newborn size". Also the band and hat part were different sizes so would buldge awkwardly on baby's head.
