excellent quality marine collagen, no flavor, no odor, effective. Also comes in canister size
Packets of super high quality marine collagen. Truly the best hydrolyzed collagen I have tried in my 10 years of using collagen powders. No smell, no flavor, mixes seamlessly, and just feels really good to take. I have been using their canister of collagen, so my review for the packets is the same. The packets are nice for travel, for use on the go, or for trying out the products in a smaller quantity before choosing the larger canister if you want to go that way. I dont think there is a price savings on loose versus packets. The collagen packets come packaged in a sturdy flip top cube container, and each packet provides one 10 gram serving. It is a large serving. They do not skimp! I will copy over my review from the canister (so dont be confused when I mention a scooper, or other canister specific comments. I will add in packet related info to help alleviate confusion), as I think if you are using the packets, you will likely want to go ahead and buy the canister. In short, I highly recommend. Now onto the longer assessment for canister:I use collagen supplements ALL.THE.TIME. It is one of my daily supplements that I have been taking for about ten years now. I am usually fine with weird tastes, but some collagen powders that have fish collagen create an odd taste. So then that is where it is relegated to smoothies or something else I can mask it in. Other collagen sources aren't as pronounced to me, so I will often just stir some into my morning coffee. I will say, that I tried this because I was curious about a $120 container of collagen for approximately 30 days supply (or $60 for 14 day supply in packets). I normally dont care for marine collagen and I happen to have tried a couple of Shore Magic beauty products that I also really dont care for, but I just wanted to try their collagen. I EXPECTED a stinky, odd smelling, basic collagen powder. I am wrong, and I am so glad I tried this. For multiple reasons:1.the container is sturdy, and it comes with a real scoop- a foldable metal scoop. (Packets are easy to open, dont take up much space, likely best for travel, on the go. Nice pre-portioned packs for those that dont want added hassle).2. no odor3. no taste4. serving size is HUGE. The scoop is large, and the serving size is 2 scoops. (packets contain same amount as the serving size from canister)This is double what I normally take, and therefore if I wanted to keep with that amount, then it takes this from a @ 30 day supply to about 60 day supply. 5. Mixes well. EVEN better than other hydrolyzed protein powders. It is a fine powder. Practically makes my coffee creamy, especially when I have used two full scoops. 6. Again, NO taste. Never ever have I ever had a marine collagen have zero taste. I really dig this. 7. Does not hurt my gut. Some hydrolyzed collagen powder can upset my stomach. It will create an odd feeling somewhere in my digestive system. This feels like a dream. I have used pricey collagen, especially back when hydrolyzed collagen powder was not yet a thing- the rare brands that carried it were quite pricy. I'd say still not as pricy as this, but about that. I know I had purchased back in the day brands that ran $40-$60 for slightly larger containers. Serving size was usually half the amount (and the amount of collagen was relative). So while I dont rate on price, I will comment. I want to continue with this, and maybe I will. I think if I do, I will use half the amount and supplement with my other collagen powders. Currently I am using full amount. I did not expect to be impressed by this. I figured it was about same as others, and I have a lot of experience with collagen and have used many brands through the years. I am shocked that this instantly rose to the very top of my list for quality and effectiveness--and I haven't even been using it that long! So if you can try, it then by all means go for it. I absolutely recommend it. So try either, get both, either way I'm just going to say it again.. I recommend it. And I am thankful to have had the opportunity to try this collagen.

Obtained from fish skins collagen
I don't know very much about collagen, other than I try to take it when I don't have to pay too much. I just think that since our skin is the largest organ in our bodies we should pay more attention to it— and collagen is important to skin. I don't even have any way of knowing if it's doing any good to take it. For all I know, it doesn't even transfer from your digestive system to your skin. I just don't know. But I take it anyway. This product does say it has Type I II III and IV. It means absolutely nothing to me. I guess I should read up about that.Okay, I quickly read up about it and I still don't know what it means. So why am I writing this review when I know nothing? Well, I am impressed that this collagen is sourced from fish skins and that they do extensive testing for heavy metals. We all know that nutrients sourced from fish are very good, so I think it's probably important to alternate the source of collagen that you are taking. You still won't know if it's actually doing anything, but most of it seems to come from bovine skin. That's a scientific way of saying cowhide. I've had to process a cowhide once, and in order to tan it, you have to scrape all of this spongy soft interior off of the actual hide first. Ancient people used to make special stone tools for doing this one very important job. Little did they know that they could have gone into the caveman collagen business, because that is where "bovine-sourced" collagen comes from.Sorry this was so long, but I just don't know much about collagen, so I tried to do the best I could.Have a wonderful day, and don't forget to nourish your skin.
