Rawlings | R16 Velo Baseball Batting Helmet | Gloss | JR & SR Sizes | Multiple Colors

I've gone through a few batting helmets through the years playing on a number of different hardball leagues as an over the hill baseball player trying to hang on to his youth. This is probably my third Rawlings helmet and that should be considered a compliment. I had a different brand that barely lasted a season and this new one is merely one that will travel with me to a fantasy camp in Arizona in January as my regular helmet (a similar model to this one and a different color) is still in very good shape after about five years of use. Typically, the lining around the ears is the first thing to go from taking it on and off constantly and from the sweat and dirt. Once the lining goes or you get a crack it's time to invest in a new one. I have not had much of an issue with this in a Rawlings helmet despite using it in the cages in the fall, winter, and spring, as well as outside all summer long. It fits true to size and is a perfect snug for my 7 1/4 head with the senior size.The navy is a bit darker in person than in the pictures and I knew this from seeing these helmets in stores. The helmet is glossy and will stay this way for quite a while if wiped off every now and again and not abused. The helmet also comes with a white sticker of their "R" logo on the front along with "Rawlings" wording about each ear and at the bottom of the back of the helmet just below the Major League Baseball logo. Believe me, from years of research and trial and error, Rawlings is the best you will get in performance and value with most baseball gear and these helmets are what the professionals wear. I don't wear their gloves anymore (unless they want to send me some free for review! :)), but I will only buy their brand of batting helmet due to how reliable they are, and it was also the deciding factor when I decided to give catching a try which uses a specific helmet.

Rawlings produces another great product! The price is on point and is a lot less than other competitor, but still has the same great style as the competitors.

Fits well for my 8 YO. Had this helmet for about 3 baseball seasons in HI and it has held up for games and practices. It's been HEAVILY used. The padding is still intact. Love that you can add on a jaw guard for additional safety. Color and shine hasn't faded. Definitely great value for your money and will buy again if there is a bigger size for my son when he outgrows this one.

Bought for my 8 year old. It fits him and he says it's comfortable to wear - which is honestly the most important thing! Plus it's not crazy expensive like a lot of other helmets.

Got it for the Kids, ear protection have cloth covering the materials inside instead of expose foam.
