Retique It Liquid Wood, 8oz, 2. Dark

Excellent product

OK so I did some playing around with different stains that’s why my drawers look different colors. I’m not finished I’ll post a final picture when I’m done. I’ll probably move the darker drawer to the bottom because I’m not gonna repaint it.So about the product. Excellent! I read lots of reviews first and I do not understand why some people ended up not satisfied. I am ecstatic!! I was able to take my great grandmothers dresser, that had been painted once already, and turn it into an accent piece of furniture. Our family room is lodge like and I can’t wait for the top drawer handles to arrive.I love to chalk paint and can do a sort of wood look with certain pieces but this product allowed me to have the real wood without any sanding!!I followed the directions and had never stained anything before because it’s not worth it to me to sand down for hours or days. I was able to use the dark cherry on top of the light wood Retique It with no problem. I had so much fun. I’ll post the final picture after I finish the repair on the top drawer and the deer knobs arrive.If you follow the directions you will not have any problems. I used rust oleum wood stain black cherry and American walnut. Later I used Minwax water-based polycrylic protective finish clear semi glossFinal picture added 12/26/2020

Trying to do mock-paneling on my basement walls. Seems to absorb the stain well, and I have liked the color it produces. But it hasn't accepted my wood graining tool very well. Seems like it might be a little thin for woodgraining. Still working on the process. Might be better on a horizontal surface, but mine is vertical.

It really does take the work out of having to sand the wood first it's nice! I was very happy with it. Worked wonderfully

This product totally lives up to it's reviews! I was hoping for some improvement but never expected it to be this good! It's like a miracle paint. Easy to use too!
