I bought these for extra theft protection
I bought these for extra theft protection for my Challenger which is a highly targeted car for theft. These prevent a thief from plugging into the cars USB port to electronically program a key and start and steal your car. Only, downside is that it makes it inconvenient when you need a USB port to plug into as the "key" is hidden elsewhere in the car.

Simple, but don't expect miracles
Is it a lock or only a block? Technically, it's a lock. The key makes it easy to remove, but it's not THAT hard to get the block out without the lock. So, like most locks, it's really about making it so hard to get passed it that you defeat the laziness of the bad actor. This won't keep a determined person out, but it will keep most. Our use case was point of sale terminals. The employees would use the one USB port on the unit to plug phones into, or vape pens, or whatever. Inevitably, they would break it. Even when we put a USB charging hub in place to give them a better option, they still used it. Now, it's too much work to mess with the PoS terminal when there's another option they can use. So, it did the job!
