We currently have customers with bikes as large as BMW 1100. Cinches are tested to 1500 pounds each so you should be fine.

Q: How much do the pegs go down from the unlocked to the locked position ?

Depending on the setting, anywhere from 1/2” to 2”.

Q: How much lateral movement is expected from the bike ?

There are 4 adjustment levels. The lower holes make for less movement. The small front brake strap will eliminate any front or rear movement. I haul 4 bikes alternating front to rear close enough that the pegs overlap. They have never touched each other. See customer pictures on the website.
